- It took a while but here it is! Heres how you can do the scribble animation effect in Final Cut Pro X! This is not the most efficient way to do this effect but if you only have Final Cut Pro X then its a option. Thanks!

if you don't want to download the app he recommended, you can also select screenshot on the launchpad of your Mac, select the video frame and then open the image in preview. next to the searcher is a little pen icon, it allows you to draw on the image, then you can go on like in the video! con: you can only draw white (but tell me if you know how to change the colour!) pro: it kind of smoothes the lines, making it look more animated rather than drawn on with a mouse!

anybody figure out the keyer problem yet? I did these steps in 1 video and it worked completely fine but, I'm doing it on another video now and the keyer is pretty much making everything dark as hell.

Sadly not dude :( I've just given up now. It worked so well the first time I used it for a music video. But, when I tried using it again for another video, it just wouldn't wanna work. The keyer was ruining everything
Can't get this to work it just blacks out the background. Gets rid of all the blue

nice video. but when i drop the keyer on fcp10.3.2 nothing happen except making the image darker. even if i hit invert. please help

when i click invest it also changes the light parts of my clip so that when i overlap it on my normal footage the entire sky becomes white too (as well as my scrible) ANYONE GOT ANY IDEAS? basically my invert didnt work like his on screen

hey I'm having a problem I can't get green to show when I press invert the picture looks inverted and not all black
do I have to use light shot? I thought I could just use the freeze frame shortcut I just learned which is option F. then your good to go

hi, i have done this once, and it did work, but when i do it again now, when i put the key-effect over the clip, it didn't work at all... the screen shot is still there, and my scribble is there, but it didn't change from color green (from scribble effect) didn't turn black ( like it did before, or in the tutorial) . and ... when i hit invert. the picture didnt' go away.. :( what shoudl i do ... :(

If you have motion, it makes this 10x easier and less time consuming.
You can pretty much export as image sequence and edit them in Photoshop.

Think I’ve got a quick solution to the keyer problem.
It’s picking up all the green (scribbling) in my clip including trees etc....
Once I’ve drawn my lines in ‘green’ then throw a colour board on and ‘pink’ the rest of the image, this punctuates the green (scribble)
Drag the keyer on then invert the image.
Then to change the colour of the scribble throw another colour board on.
Let me know if it works?

This is a very useful instructional vid! Time consuming (but what isn't in editing?), but yes, it will get faster and easier with practice, and produces some great effects! Thanks for sharing this!
