Thank you so much for this story .I used to listen to Saturday night theatre on radio four. from being a very young girl….Does anybody remember ‘Dick Barton special agent ? I used to listen to that when I came home from school when I was lighting a coal fire at the age of ten…. Now I listen to these stories at bedtime…….
Truly Amazing! I love a spooky story. Some BBC radio stories are the best. They are are better than watching a movie, because it allows your imagination to construct scenery and the actions of the actors.
Yes, I agree! And also, there’s the added bonus that I can carry on with sewing or gardening or painting while I listen. Todays job: defrosting the freezer! (A job put off for several months, sadly) And another bonus: sitting in a chair watching movie = popcorn and static legs, pottering around listening to stories = getting stuff done and active legs! 😂😂😂 Very grateful to those who upload these stories. ❤
@@rbrown6476 Ha Ha! Same here! Or late at night when all the work is done and all the lights are off. On a foggy night with a cool, moist breeze filtering through the window screen. Wishing I had a fireplace and hearing the wood knots popping in the fire!
A well narrated and enjoyable story. The picture really helps to build a mind picture of the very old house at Worlds’s End. Thank you for taking the time to read my comment. Henry
