You said you want suggestions on what to do next. I finished aluminum sort of recently. After that I went and automated iodine masks so I dont have to worry about radiation anymore. That also frees you up to start working on nuclear. Another thing I did that turned out to be way easier than I thought, was tapping nitrogen and getting fused modular frames automated on just a couple machines. It's honestly so easy and fast. Its refreshing after doing aluminum. And after that... super simple to get your heat syncs and cooling systems automated. It's fun, you get to use the fracking machines, and its fast and easy. And after that, you are half way to having mk3 miners automated. Honestly, after aluminum I automated everything up to turbo motors on 1-4 machines each. It's enough to get nuclear and mk3 miners, at which point all your numbers change. So my suggestion is keep it small until then. I'm currently going hard on nuclear, then I we redo basically every factory on the map now that I got mk3 miners.
The intake on the Power Augmenter is for Alien Power Matrixes, if you feed it I think it's 5 of those per minute then it gives you a 30% boost to your power grid instead of 10% when you just have the machine built without feeding it the Alien Power Matrixes.
It sucks you know youll unlock faster belts really soon but gotta build it with the slower ones first lol Ive ending up cheesing it with found Aluminium and the shop lol
Yeah, especially because the water will back until it's all done. Not a big deal really but if the refineries making the scrap fall below 100% efficiency, the output will back up with water. It's why you have to sink all the overflow. After it is done, it can't stop.
Yea but it's super temporary because even a small aluminum factory produces sooo many aluminum sheets that you'll be able to upgrade them all very shortly after firing up the factory. I just put out a video of my first aluminum factory if you want to check it out!
Hey there I think the sloppy alumina alt recipe is a good alt recipe because it produces more alumina solution and doesn't have silica as a byproduct. However the reason why I didn't use the sloppy alumina alt recipe in my starter aluminum factory is because I didn't unlock the sloppy alumina alt recipe when I was doing the math for the factory and I didn't feel like re doing the math for the factory when I did unlock it. Anyways I hope this answers your question.
@@CanadianIdiot1 Yes, thank you. I'll see one of the alt recipes sometimes and think it's good, but then find out later once I implement that it's actually bad. oof. I started asking around to those with the hours.
@@inthatcaseableI did mine on sloppy alumina and it's great. I have 4 refineries processing bauxite to alumina. 4 behind those, processing the alumina into scrap. Go up a floor to the 2 sets of 12* smelters for the alt aluminum ingot alt recipe and one more floor up is making 360 aluminum sheet/min and 240 aluminum case/min. Not bad for starter aluminum setup. I belted 5 of those bauxite nodes in the red forest to a train station and overclocked 1 to push out 20 extra per minute to get that clean 800.
As a fellow Canadian, and a fellow idiot, I approve of this video

I know you didn't get it, but what are your thoughts on the sloppy alumina recipe?

I use the sloppy alt. Currently, I have 8 refineries over clocked 250%, making 2400 scrap a min
@@inthatcaseable sloppy alumina and I think pure aluminum ingot are the 2 you want. At least for the first set up
