Not a Mai Tai! Fruit juices are not in the recipe. I am making a chocolate cake first ingredient is vanilla. You can't change a recipe and call it by it's name! It doesn't make any sense! NOT A MAI TAI ! Stop calling drinks a Mai Tai that aren't right!
This is the authentic (nearly) Duke's recipe that does not use lime and has PPOG juices in the mix (see their Google video). I thought I wouId put it out there since it is a very popular version in their restaurants. I am a Trader Vic's Mai Tai recipe fan (see my videos), and truly understand where you are coming from. Some Mai Tais are totally undrinkable juice drinks even though they carry the name. Appreciate your comments!
