Informative and engaging, thank you! I love how much fun you have discovering the instrument's capabilities. Superb composition at the end too, I'd be interested to hear it as a full length piece.

Hey man! Nice video, one question when you’re using the control pad and the knobs to control the parameters of your delay you say you can set it as a “hidden fifth track”. I don’t quite get which delay are you using, is it the one on your grandmother’s or a pedal as you say, or maybe your daw? Cause I’ve noticed that you only have your usb cable conected to the keystep and yet you’re able to control multiple synths, even change pads by changing the project on the keystep. is it that you’re mapping everything on your daw? The thing is i just got mine and ill be sending CV to a bunch of roland boutiques like the juno and i want to be able to play with delay just like you did on the last bit of the
video. But idk if you’re fifth hidden cc track is on your daw or where is it comming from haha. My plan is to send CV to each synth and then output each synth’s audio to my daw for recording. But if i don’t wanna record the performance and be able to do a dawless jam and play with the delay how would you do it? Cause each boutique synth has its delay except for the 808 but i want a master delay and reverb which i can use the parameter knobs as sends for each track. Cheers!!

I’m using the USB only for power. It’s not hooked up to my computer in the video. I use MIDI to connect all of my gear together. So midi out from the keystep pro and then using the midi thru ports on my gear to daisy chain everything together. I had the control track controlling an effect pedal (again via midi). Using midi is also how I utilize sending the PC message for one of my synths to change patch per project. I think the Roland Boutiques have midi jacks so I would try it out if I were you! Check the manuals too because the midi out jacks may function as a midi thru as well passing along any midi data not on the channel of the current device.
      Hope that helps!

This video has me very impressed with both Arturia & Kevwyxin. There are so many possibilities this could bring to the table in a live set that neither live looping nor even backing tracks could quite accomplish. Also, I love how that patch sounds at 13:46.

Great Video! I love my KSP. It's the centerpiece of most of my latest videos. That being said, it's easy to get so excited about the synths/drums plugged into it that you forget that it's even there. I think that's a telltale of a fantastic instrument. My mind was blown when I got to the Mood part of this video. I can't wait to try it myself! Did you have to set any midi channels/CC's before it worked with the mood? I've added this one to my KSP playlist for reference later. Keep the great videos coming!

I just had to set the global midi channel on the KSP to the mood’s midi channel then select which CC I wanted each knob on the KSP to control. Pretty easy setup!!
