I could be wrong but I read somewhere that "fell down the stairs" is a code in Japan for suicide. So Kuina just never overcame her problem being a woman

When Kaya says "I believed your stories because they were fun", shes not actually saying she believed the stories actually happend but that she found the stories entertaining. Its kind of like as a kid listening to one of your grandparents or another family member tell stories about the past. You kinda know that the stories probably aren't 100% true or might be a little exaggerated but they're exciting so you allow the suspension of disbelief. But when it comes to something actually happening and is a threat, she does have a reason to be doubtful because she knows that Usopp is a story teller.
Plus, she feels her life is going to be stuck in a house full of memories, too sick to ever do anything on her own, so she enjoyed thinking about the possibility of adventures, or the idea of adventures

what i really appreciate from this series is the use of practical sets. The cgi can be a little wonkey sometimes but the ships and all the locations makes the adventure feel so real
I think favorite thing is Luffy, the actor really had a maniacal laugh with crazy optimism...that shifted to scary mad when innocents are being hurt by people like Kuro. I thought he would get on my nerves but honestly, he is probably my favorite.
This sub-series is gold, absolute gold - I was so overjoyed when the LA adaptation turned out amazing, and I'd discovered Ange a few months before the debut so it's a double-whammy of great. Please please absolutely keep on keeping these on! This episode is indicative of the sheer quality of goodness follow.
I love the horror movie elements in this episode. Even if they aren't meant to be, the vomit being very Exorcist, the whole knife hands being very Freddy Kruger, the moving whispering and in the ear, and even Zoro climbing out of the well just felt very The Ring to me lol

The soundtrack that plays during Going Merry's first voyage is based on the first anime opening, and maaan when I heard that playing on my first watch, I got the shivers and almost teared up
The story of One Piece is amazing and they did a great job with adjusting things to condense the story but keep the spirit and major points. You should definitely finish the series. I can't wait for season 2!

There are several reaction channels that I don't usually watch, where I only watched the reaction to the last 4 episodes, because of certain events you will see ;) But I love your reactions, and the editor does a great job of showing all the moments that I want to watch, while also cutting out the ones slower part. Because honestly, after having watching 10 different reactions to the same episodes, I just wanna watch the good parts :P
@@javieravila2530 No LOL. She really felt the stairs. In manga her body is shown on the ground wth a handkerchief covering her eyes and a blanket covering her legs. The theories about suicide or domestic violence are just fan delusion. You have to consider two things: the value of her promisse to Zoro wich it's linked to her sword; and the fact that it was a shonen just in the beginning and no mangaka would write about teen suicide in his work.
Kuina fell down the stairs while trying to going for her valued sword; presumably because she was just as excited about the promise as Zoro. Either way, it was a very tragic and sudden event

I'm enjoying this series so much and Zoro is my favorite character. My friend and I just got to Fishman's arc in the anime really good we have been watching it since 2019. We watch it together during our college breaks so it takes us a long time.

Also the Anime they showed Zoro's backstory while everyone was arguing on the ship, he was asleep and they were learning how to fire cannonballs. XD
I think my favorite things about One Piece in both the live action and anime are the characters, their interactions amongst each other and the amazing world that they inhabit that Oda has created. Also, I would like to see this series continue, please and thank you 🙏🏻

No we do know. It's stated she fell down the stairs. And it is not a double meaning. People made up the rumor that falling down the stairs means suicide but that is not true in Japanese culture. So yeah she dead dead. And as how things are currently going it would be impossible for her to exist and not be extremely weak nameless swordwoman so it would add no value for her to be alive and if she was then she'd be a very weak character

Hearing the remix of the We Are soundtrack as they sailed away from Syrup Village brought a tear to my eye,
20:47 they made an orchestral version of the first opening of the anime and they played at the moment of Merry's sailing . loved it
though part of this episode is original, Zoro's backstory is as close to 1 for 1 as possible.
