Kris The Great. he was 99% better then all the others. Especially when you consider the fact he cut back on writing so he could be an actor. Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson have been writing songs since chords was discovered on a guitar. They still don't touch Kris though. Here's a few songs that He topped the charts with Country (Sunday Morning Coming Down, Help me make it through the night, For the good times, Stranger,) Rock (Me and Bobby Mgee) Gospel ( he cowrote One day at a time and wrote why me lord) and most of his songs he was not pushed or heard after he moved to Hollywood.

I sent this song to my son in TN. He told his pastor "moms not very religious, but you gotta hear this." He told my son "she's more religious than you think." Love this song. It just makes your heart feel good.
I ask myself the same question, "why me Lord" I know I don't deserve the kindness that He has shown me over the years.

Beautiful I love this song. In the early 70's I went to my grandpa's home when I walked in the door he was playing this song on a 45 . I found out later he had gotten saved. Praise the Lord. I think about that every time I hear this song. He went on and started teaching Sunday school at my uncles church. He died in 1986. My grandma who got saved in 1931 was the most wonderful faith filled Christian I ever knew she went home in 2003. When she got saved at first grandpa told her she needed to quit that stuff he wasn't going to be married to a holy roller. She told him If I quit it we will both go to he'll but if I stick with it one day you will get it too. He did but it took about 40 years. Glory there both now together with the Lord. Glory to God. Thank you Jesus my Lord.

What an awesome song and hearing the story behind the song makes me want to listen to it even more. My five siblings and I have sung this together many times and two of my brothers do a background harmony which makes you feel the Lord right beside you!

And the good Lord took care of him, because he was misdiagnosed as having Alzheimers, was treated for Alzeheimers, and recently found to be suffering from Lyme Disease. This is a miracle, really, because now properly treated, he is doing well, as far as I have heard. I'm sure, he is giving God the praise for it.

My son daniel, just passed on august 27th, 2020....ive never known such incredible heartbreak...n sadness filled with emptyness. I thought my world had ended...n it did as i knew it. Ive survived thru many trajedys including a brain tumor n surgery of 16 hours to remove. I lost my daddy when i was only 91/2, most of my friends n many in family....but i always kept God in my heart, for i knew....he was the only thing still keeping me going as ive traveled the different pathways of my life, but losing my son...this is a pain unlike no other, my son also has God in his heart....n i know that is where he now is. ...journeying heaven n all its wonders. Ive always loved chris n the feelings that came with each song he sang, but this one was always alittle more special. Its been a few yrs since ivr heard it, but tonight , it jumped right back into my head n im thinkin this would be a beautifull song to play for daniels special dat comin up for we are having his day on the river....the place he called home, so, needed to waite til it got warm enough out for everyone to be to be warm n enjoy the outdoors on the st.crokx river....as we say our goodbyes n tell stories of his journey thru this world with us. This song is so perfect....especially with chris singing it.❣💯

Seven years ago my family faced a life challenge. it all happened when I had to work away from home. The story is long to cut it short I got home into my car and switched on the engine only be greeted to such a lovely and comforting song. For surely the lord saw us through even when I think we were undeserving.
