I have a 23 f150, i love this truck.. when it works.. which at 7k miles has been a nightmare to own.. so honestly i'd buy a used pre 2017 truck with low mileage.. something without start stop, without cylinder deactivation..
A Honda Acty in decent condition with a 5 speed manual transmission.
If I had the expendable income, the GMC 1500 AT4X AEV with the 3.0L Duramax. Otherwise, I'd pick up a 2021 or older Tundra 1794 Edition.

The indicator stalk needs a bit of force to use, but I love it. It makes it feel refined and expensive when I hear the clicks, like on some other cars it feels like its going to break

How does the tires feel? Are they comfortable?
The exterior build quality looked excellent, those panel gaps were super narrow all of the open and closing mechanisms were very solid sounding and while that complex tailgate assembly may have required some muscle to operate it seemed to move with fidelity and clunked back into place without any secondary wobbles. The underbody protection and bumper package would inspire huge confidence for me offloading gotta love rock rails. The only assist step I'd ever consider myself would be ones that protect the body from heavy off road impacts and do not compromise clearance or break over and those did neither. The wheels did not look bead lock capable which is a huge miss in my opinion. The AEV package is very expensive and I would like to see future AEV's to include not just a winch-ready front bumper but one with a winch already inside or at least open up the option for a proper fitting, reduced cost winch to be included inside. Idk they should just charge a bit more for the package and include bead lock capable rims and a winch up front, other than that: perfection.

Hey Ted! Are you actually for real ever planning to buy a truck? I love sports cars man but I drove a raptor and now I don’t know who I am anymore! I enjoyed cruising and taking it over dirt roads as much as I take a GR86 in a corner!
I went on an incredible overlanding trip last week and I loved it. A truck for exploring and camping is definitely on my mind.
90G lol? For that price you'd expect a HD diesel in it.
sadly no supercruise on that truck only the Denali and the ultimate, I am guessing it doesn't have it due to the way the bumpers are set up and it just being off road oriented.

I’ve driven A LOT of the new trucks, and I like the Sierra/Silverado the most. It rides well, and GM makes a really good transmission. I had a 2022 Ram Rebel on a trip from Ottawa to Fredricton NB (Canada) and didn’t love it. The Fords are nice but I’ve never driven one that didn’t have a clunky 10 speed.
The Ford 10 speed is the same transmission as the GM 10 speed
@@surfguy0021 well fords 10 speed isn’t programmed properly then, because I’ve never had a rough shift from the GM 10 speed, but every ford 10 speed I’ve driven has been clunky, which is unacceptable.
Wait this is a 1500? Why is it so expensive? I thought a 2500 HD AT4X AEV is only like $3k more. I like GM truck because of that magical tailgate. Makes getting in/out a camper a breeze.
I’m looking to get a Silverado 2500 ZR2 Bison soon to build it into a full time adventure camper! Would be great if you can review that once you can get your hands on it. I’m a big TRX/Raptor fan (and I had a 2019 Raptor) but for camper build purposes, their payloads are too small.
Hope you got some money. They're going to be the most expensive in the line up. I paid 93K for a '21 sierra 2500 Denali Duramax. The zr2 bison is easily over 100K.
@@jacob5014 Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 Bison is about $85K from what I spec out (gas engine, AEV Bison edition, etc.). I don't need a diesel because I don't tow heavy. Yeah Denali Duramax is very expensive because of all the luxury and comfort it has. Different vehicles for different purposes.

GMC sierra’s are for soccer moms nothing else. Literally got passed in a double yellow going nearly 50 in a 30 this morning by a soccer mom in her Sierra AT4X she honked at me and flipped me the bird as she passed me… guess 20 over isn’t fast enough anymore.

Why does GM continue to suck at designing and implementing good interior design? This is why a $400,000 Cadillac will go the way of The Allanté. They can’t even get a $100,000 interior right.

@@TedwardDrivesCan only judge what I’ve sat in. 1) Ram 1500 Limited 2) Rivian R1T 3) Toyota Tundra 1794 Those three IMO are superior from a design and materials standpoint. GM uses far too many textures of cheap plastic. The over-all aesthetic of this rig is what I imagine a lottery winner perceives as luxury as opposed to someone who has actually experienced it.

@@yeahman799 And the TRX? I'd take a used Raptor R or TRX over this overpriced thing any day. This truck is just not worth the price. Neither is the ZR2. They're awesome trucks but their financial team is completely out of touch when it comes to the competition. These will not sell without discounts. I can almost 100% guarantee that.

Nah Denali has a boner for ugly brown wood trim it’s like it’s designed for old timers wielding a cork pipe out of their lips… this interior blows Denali away! Very nice I just wish the front end was as cool as the zr2 bison

After a point you start measuring in smiles per gallon... otherwise if outstanding MPG is what you desire, you shouldnt be looking at a truck to begin with.

That thing offroad capable? Maybe for some logging roads and farm roads. Thats it. Wheels to small, too less ground clearance and 4-6 foot too long. But perfect for soccer moms and asphalt jungle cowboys to show off.
