great setup and great video but i have a question couldn't a shop vac more or less do the same thing? I have had some bad gas in my boat and was going to suck the bottom of the tank before winterizing it and thoughts on using a shop vac?
I wouldn't use a shop vac, use only a fuel transfer pump that is made to transfer gasoline. A shop vac is introducing a lot of oxygen and you can't be sure the motor is spark free. Even when using a fuel transfer pump make sure you're electric leads and battery are far far away from your tank, gas vapors take very little to ignite
Where is the filtration done? It looks like you're just circulating dirty fuel. Did I miss something?

187nags Woah! Never use an electric motor around gas/fumes. the sparks from the motor armature will cause an explosion! Bye-bye boat!
