The trooper is doing 140 mph. My motorcycle does 187 mph. How is the trooper going to catch up? It makes no sense. The trooper is more of a threat to public safety than anyone else using the highway that day.

From the tone of his radio chatter at the beginning of the chase and the very end you can clearly tell he just wanted to go on a senseless chase. I will tell you about the ASP chase policy, they have carte blanche to do whatever TF they want! In other word, they have a blank check to chase whatever they want no matter what the initial probable cause is. It could be as simple as a broken tail light and they will escalate to a full blown high speed pursuit with absolutely no regards for other motorists. They don't even care if any innocent bystander or motorists is collateral damage. Hell, I've seen them PIT the wrong car! They're not even sorry for it. And guess what? They're not responsible for any damage done to any innocent motorists either because they have 'Qualified Immunity' and they were performing their 'duty'. If they want to chase a ghost or shadow of an airplane so that they can drive their patrol car at max speed 149+ mph for the thrill in the name of pursuit in busy traffic, so be it. There is absolutely NO discretion! In any other state with common sense will try to get the tag# if possible and pay them a visit later. So there you have it. Their "chase policy".

Let's hope the bike rider gets pulled off of the road for a long time before he causes death or serious injury to innocent bystanders.
