    I miss him so much. Those splits did a job on his hips. Thus the pain medication in his final years.

    Prince has always been beyond exceptional! He is the ONLY entertainer that could walk into a studio and come out with a hit by himself! Music is not the same without him! There will never be another like him. On a more pertinent note, this is one of my favorite performances. That breakdown is so funky! Just drippin' with funk! Nobody could do it like Prince!

    You just witnessed greatness. Prince’s award show performances are LE GEN DAR Y!!! Well, I think all of his performances are, but you got it exactly right. Who comes close to putting on a performance like that at an AWARD SHOW?!?!? You should check out his 1985 performance of Purple Rain at the American Music Awards. There are also great performances at the Brit Awards, ALMA Awards, NAACP Awards. He is the absolute best to ever do it.

    Prince`s rules on performances: There are no rules! He could look like a ballerina,a limping basketball player,a breakdancer,a funky adrenaline junkie all in the same performance. I miss him soo much,my absolute favourite solo male artist of ALL TIME!

    Great reaction ❤ I would like to point out that Prince was one of the entertains that brought the Baroque hybrid fashion to the for front . At the time it was called THE NEW ROMANTIC. He was beautiful. #peaceandstaywild

    He always brought that kind of energy! Check out live from Syracuse in 1985! Or Sign O the Times, no one could touch Prince as a musician or live performer, no one!

    Purple Rain was definitely Prince’s most commercially successful album, but I certainly wouldn’t call it his best. Most of the folks I know that know P’s discography front to back don’t even have Purple Rain in their top 10 albums. 😂🫣 Speaking of hype Prince, I’d love to see your reaction to this performance that was just released a few weeks ago: th-cam.com/video/Zr2atdgwIL8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1M8nl_XKqdwnCMm7
    It’s at a club P owned here in Minneapolis, and he always cut loose in his hometown. He gets up on the bar to dance and everything. 😂 As far as the energy in the video you just reacted to though, no adderall, just B12 vitamin shots before shows for the extra energy. 💜

    I think he's a little anxious in this one. It's his coronation to the very top of the industry. It's the top stars and executives in that crowd.

    • @Hazesoundwaves
      @Hazesoundwaves  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That makes sense….so it’s like his MJ Motown 25 moment.

    • @creditorclass6513
      @creditorclass6513 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Hazesoundwaves I think it was more of a coronation. Thriller was still in it's campaign when Motown 25 happened. What I remember back then was Prince had just broke through with Little Red Corvette in 83' and it impacted the second half of his 1999 Tour. He was still a cult artist by the time Mike did 25. The trajectory for Prince was surprising and kind of irritating to MJ and his fans because it was sudden. Border line Underground artist with one legit pop hit who never does interviews gets major motion picture?. A lot of folks went to the movie just to see him talk lol. I don't believe he cared about an MJ 25 moment and he probably loved it as much as he did lol. Prince is unique because his great live moments came late in his career. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame guitar solo and Super Bowl were his MJ 25 moments. Those two allowed people to see once and for all that the 2 completely different things. In the 80's white folks were still catching there breaths over MJ and then here comes Prince. Lazily they thought, androgynous black guy singing in high registers, they must be enemies or competing for the same thing. I'm pretty sure they've enjoyed a good laugh together about how we view them as rivals.

    Prince crashed the stage and the universe that night. He owned the world. He seemed as Mohament Ali or James Brown who had their cape after the end of show or victory fight, but Prince just threw it to the crowd and left the building demolished into ashes. Moonwalking...who cares?
