Amazing conversation, learned so much :) Love Arun’s balance of brand / quality / wanting to leave the viewers feeling positive with the metrics / performance / incentive for team side of things. Excited to see where things go from here 🚀
After the last podcast with Ali, he convinced them to come to his studio and try podcast there to assure that they are paying so much in their studio. Can´t forget that part of the video 😅
Colin & Samir are unmatched in their interview style. The questions are so well thought out and naturally flows with the pace of the conversation. It’s podcasting art. Arun also answers every question with careful thought, logic, and precision. The ironic thing is you talk about how Arun almost forces the viewer to watch his entire video but then 2 hours passes on this video, and I’m left puzzled at where the time went! Awesome stuff guys 👊🔥
Yours is the only channel to make a long-form podcast video so enjoyable. You ask the right questions with the right humor. There is so much we can learn from these videos. Loved it.
Love this UK stent of conversations, It's interesting to see how both sides maneuver through questions about challenges you both are facing, but also the mutual love to see each other win and grow. Tech is a bonding topic that will always be relevant within the creator space. Keep killin it guys!
We say the tech industry seems like its saturated but honestly, theres so much out there to discover as a creator within that niche. There are tons of way to deliver informative content in a unique way and I think Arun does it so well. Very inspiring.
I watch in 15-30 minute increments. I love how TH-cam will continue to show your videos on my homepage until I've finished. No other platform does that.
MrWhosetheBoss is one of my favorite creators and I was curious to see how you guys, whom I had never heard of until today, could possibly be involved in a video with him that is almost 2 hours long. After watching it,I must commend you both on the quality of the interview you conducted. I thoroughly enjoyed this piece. I have since subscribed, and I can’t wait to explore the rest of your videos, and will continue to look forward to new content from your channel ❤
There are few specific moments in content history where people transcend, from being just a face (or hands) of a channel , or a personality to someone with legacy who just by their presence and their experiences can manage to inspire generations to come. Arun is such a person. I relate to him on a lot of levels and the hard work which he puts in to constantly be a true version of himself, is so difficult to do. In a world of appearances and experiences, presenting one's true self while also caring about how the audience is going to percieve you in rare and Arun is at the Epitome of that. Colin and Samir like everytime have the superhuman ability to unlock conversations at levels which therapists would fail to do. And it is not just a unilateral conversation about being a creator, but an honest exploration of the human being behind the creator. Colin, Samir and Arun was a collab I did not know I needed but this is a game changer, as it not only have tenets about what it is like to be one of the biggest creators on youtube, but also mindsets, approaches and intellectual thought experiments, which contribute towards the process of evolution in the bigger picture. So much love to all of you! I truly feel grateful and privileged to have access to such thoughts and explorations, which are so well articulated and honest.
WHAT I just now realized what the term food for thought means… wow. Like maybe you don’t do anything with the thought now. But it just gets your brain thinking about it.
Great conversation as always, and I'm not done watching the whole thing yet, but the instance Arun talks about his experience in school and being the only Indian, as well as Samir's, it made me tear up. I'm half Indian - half Filipino, and it wasn't easy being the only kid in class who looked like me. Still watching the rest of the video! :)
The google part was the best and funniest part of the video. You would think it's embarrassing and people would judge you but like I'm so glad y'all didn't cut that part out because it's moments like these that actually make people fall in love with your channel. Just the perfect amount of imperfection. Thanks for the laugh. Really appreciate you guys for making such amazing podcasts. I love listening to them. I learn so much about being a youtuber. Wishing you guys tons of success!
This is the second video I've ever watched by Colin and Samir. The first one was the video they did with Marques. At that video , Marques was the one who drove all the conversation, they seemed like their existence there wasn't needed and they weren't even asking the question they should have. I don't know if it was because Marques wanted to control the narrative or not. But this video is 180 degrees reverse of that video. They drove the conversation but with giving enough breathing room for the guest. They asked the questions, and very good ones by the way, that the viewers would like to be asked to Arun. Overall, great interview.
I love the approach of quality over speed of release to enrich the overall viewing experience: Not necessarily being the channel that first breaks the news, but the one who best covers the content.
Sometimes Samir ask and awnser his own question and left no room for Arun to awnser. So most of the times it´s just yes no questions because he already awnser for him, i mean, i have this feeling that i heard more samir in the whole conversation, at the end i was actually tired of hearing him. And i have nothing against him. i love what you do guys. Just had this kind of feeling watching the video.
Really good point that you guys touched on when talking about the topic about videos being released first compared to videos being released later with better quality behind it. Samir is right. If you want the early news especially in the “tech world” then Twitter/X is the place to be. But when you want to know the full ins and outs then usually even myself would have in my mind that when Arun or MKBHD release a video I’d watch them even if they release it a good few days later. I mentioned these two channels because they are a level above imo and the explaining that goes behind what they say is very well put. This is just my opinion and I ain’t trying to discredit other channels in tech but these guys have set a different bar in terms of content in the tech world.
I think the thing that most people don't know is how much goes into a video. No one realises that what looks so normal to them, is actually because of good editing and some very creative work. Only if you are a content creator yourself do you pick up when someone does these amazing things that most people never realise
There’s so many parallels of certain struggles and dynamics between content creators and myself as a tattooer. I think that’s why I align and hold a lot of you guys in such high regard. This was a great conversation and watch. 🙏
I know he says that doing a recap at the end of the video is more important than Watch time, but I mean, the numbers are the numbers. If the fact is everybody leaves the video when you start to talk about a recap, the reality is that nobody cares. At that point it’s just all in your head. Like I get the point, but it’s not an imaginary metric. If you’re losing your viewers, they are already fulfilled.
When I’m getting upset about my channel not performing good I always look up to Arun to bring me back to reality. If I stick to it and put in the work it will work eventually. The only way to lose is to quit.
Great interview. I have been watching Arun for a few months now. I find his videos refreshing and uplifting. Keep it up! Also Colin and Samir do a wonderful job in these interviews. Looking forward to what is next.
Google is a word! As far as I remember it, it was mentioned in the amazing book "the hitchhiker's guide through the galaxy". And uber is a actual word in German.
Am I the only one that feels like Arun's voice is incredibly soothing? Something about the way he talks, combined with his accent, and the inflections he uses... I'd listen to him read a phone book, and it would still be intriguing. I believe that is has SOME sort of bearing on his success. When you are the face of your channel, if people don't like you, you aren't going to succeed, and the way your voice is projected, has a part to do with that. Anyway. Just my little observation. Cheers.
I can't remember exactly where I saw this but there was this study that shows that certain voice types indicate more success on social media platforms.
These podcast really are incredible every time y’all. Great job! Arun’s thoughts were really interesting. I think he has a way of giving so much information and value with basically everything he says.
A great question would have also been what would happen in case of breakup went through a similar relationship she was also part-of the operation. Great show by the way
Thank you Colin and Samir! I need this content in my life. For me, Arun's Mrwhosetheboss and Marques Brownlee are both spectacular I watch their videos and a hardcore subscriber to their channels.

Fantastic interview. Love the story as I can relate to some of the things. I love tech. My channel is relatively new. Under 4 years. TH-cam isn't making me enough money to make it full time but I love it so much and definitely Not giving up.
As someone who moved back in with family post 30 after spending 12 years living with an ex partner, I can fully relate to what he says at 1:12:54 you learn to make the most of the time with the family who raised you. (my case my grandparents). This interview was amazing, never seen this channel before but now I am happy I found it. Much love, keep up the content ❤
Very insightful conversation! Though his situation is way different than mine (millions of subs vs new channel, tech vs Christian lifestyle, team vs solo), I love how it brought out many principles that I can learn from and apply to my situation.
I watch one of these episodes over the span of 1 week. Just how Aron treats himself to a video, I treat myself to 5/10 mins of these interviews. It’s rates I watch in one go.
Another great interview. Although my channel doesn't focus on tech, I can totally relate to the section discussing the choice between the channel or a career outside of creating content. I'm on the verge of quitting my main job, but it's still a scary prospect!
Incredible interview! I learned that your dedication to making content you love, even in the face of modest viewership for several years, highlights the importance of staying true to your passion and believing in yourself.
Mr. Who's the Boss's videos are visually stunning and have engaging storytelling. He is himself in his videos, which makes him relatable to his viewers. He also builds a community around his channel by making references to past videos and using recurring jokes.
absolutely love Mr. Who's the Boss's dedication to becoming the largest tech community on the planet! His journey from just 400 views to a whopping 20 million on a single video is incredible. It's clear that his passion and persistence are driving his success.
This was an absolute pleasure - much love! ❤
You are very hard-working to make the best tech videos on the internet. Great work, love your videos!!
