    Just found you today 7/27/202. Fantastic video! I totally agree with your "Theory of 10" on Power Tap Location; and, splitting the difference to 6 joints in the one case, and not pushing it to 12 joint sections - as many might be inclined to do - when coming full circle. Your voice is very pleasant to listen to, and your thought-processes are thorough and exacting. I definitely 'grok' your style - as we used to say. Subscribed!

    Really like your track work & explanations. You’re clear and easy to follow. I’m new to the hobby and your videos are very helpful. Question: I see you keep a lint roller nearby. Is it used for track cleaning? Thanks for sharing .

      Hi... the lint roller is used to clean off the tires. Works good in between maintenance sessions.🙂

    Do you run power to your terminal from the track or from a power supply? I’m running my track on a power supply and I have to run 10 power taps, and was wondering if I can just power my terminal blocks from the power supply instead of a track lane? Thanks Tony

    • @slotcarmayhem9765
      @slotcarmayhem9765  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually, the power comes from the (so far, factory) power supply that plugs into the Control Unit. The CU is remote mounted, and track power from the CU goes to a terminal block, then to all of the track feeds. Hope this helps...

    Do you have a recommendation of where to begin the main power tap from? Do you start at the controller or with the first section of track before or after?

    • @slotcarmayhem9765
      @slotcarmayhem9765  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I run power directly from the control unit, to a terminal block, and distribute power from there.

      @@slotcarmayhem9765 Are there leads coming out of the control unit that can go to the terminal blocks or do you have to splice into the power cable somehow, as always thanks for your time making these videos
