Band Saw Upgrades / New HPL Blade Guides & Table

- After using my homemade band saw for a year, I’ve decided I should make some improvements. Back when I built it I used teflon to make the blade guides, but I don’t think this material is hard enough for this purpose.
I’ve also noticed the table is bent because of all the tension it has withstood due to it being made with two plywood pieces glued together and a HPL sheet.

Hello Paoson,
you have done very good work, beautiful pictures ... you are an example of precision in the work, continues to share good content ... Thank you and see you soon😉 Gil
Great video and follow up of this great band saw. I would like to say this. You Sir are a talented man and your projects and workshop tools shows that we don't need fancy expensive shop tools and machines to do woodworking. I have been following you for more than 2 years now and have bought some of your plans and I have never regretted one bit. I'm a newbie when it comes to woodworking but I always follow and understand fully all your videos. You take your time and very patient and critical with everything you do. I urge all newbies to follow you and watch all your old videos. Great work Paoson
Thanks mate!
Not only did you have the vision to build your own tools, you actually did it and they are beautiful! I will make many tools like yours, thank you for your time with these videos they are great.
The tools you make are works of art on they're own. You Sir are a true craftsman.
I think i could speaak for all of us but as viewers we learn a lot from the experiences of you. Thank you so much for sharing these. I'm planning to make my own bandsaw so with your tips it will be a realy good one!

Thank you for sharing, your talent for designing and constructing the machines you want and accessories you need for them are second to none. So much talent and thoughtful for sharing with others. Fantastic effort. Greetings from Perth West Australia.

Preciosa sierra de cinta! Me encantan tus diseños! Gracias por compartir todo esto.

i know just how to spend my time this pandemic , il watch your videos, they are just awesome
It's always a pleasure watching your videos. I love and envy your workshop. It's one of the most organised and beautiful workshop filled with all stuff and machines made by you.
Even while you are making machines I get a sense that you are making a work of art.
And all this aside I really like your humility.
By the way I just finished making your dowel jig today :-)
thanks Anurag! send me some photos please
@@Paoson_Woodworking Sure. Will write in the forum
Perfect!
You're really making me a believer in a 3D router.
Molt bona feina...com sempre. Amb aquesta millora sembla més robusta. Un crack!!
Awesome build as always!
thanks!
When you began routing the HPL and I saw smoke. I could almost smell it through the screen. Nice work.
Men! Congratulations on the bench.
Great work Suso! Thanks for always sharing your videos with us. 👌👍😎JP
thanks as always!
Your very welcome Suso! Have a great weekend!😎
Re HPL blade guides, it looks like you are using solid hpl. All I can find are decorative high pressure faced boards. Where do you buy what you are using? Love all your work!🤠
Some crazy people gave you thumbs down. I love your projects. Thumbs up from me
Always well done and ptofessional
thanks mate!
Man that router jig / table / 3D setup is very cool. I can see a lot of possible uses for it in my shop. Do you have a video of the build?
yes! th-cam.com/video/NG9IAndPcrw/w-d-xo.html&t
wonderful
Du bist einfach klasse!!!
Great video as always. Would love to know more about the lighting in your shop
thanks!
Nice vídeo
Thanks as always!
Great job👍👍👍
Hi there!
I really love your table saw built and appreciate your work!
But your table will still warp if you won't sandwich it in a symmetrical fassion. Thats why you always laminate both sides and apply finish coating on both sides, even if the back is unvisible.
I hope that helps!
Regards,
Etna.
right, is what I explain in the video! thanks
Yeah, but still made the same error by screwing a different material with a different expansion coefficient tightly onto your surface. I'm just trying to helf. I wish you luck that this surface wont warp.
Hi, it's always a very good job...
thanks!
Briliant
I did not understand the difference between the old table and the new one. Are they not both HPL over plywood? Why did the old one warp? What is the improvement to prevent the new one from warping?
it is not the same to stick than to screw, also in the old table I have joined three different pieces with two different glues
Hi.
nice build.
what size do you advice for the weel shaft's.
i like to make this saw but a bit smaller lets say for a 2400 blade.
hope to hear from you soon.
One thing I notice is that you do not use foam under the sheets you're cutting on the bench. Is there a permanent cut line in your bench top? I may have missed something in your build of that bench. Your track saw seems to be set to the depth (thickness) of the sheets you're cutting. Correct?
That’s what I was curious about. That table is to nice to saw lines in it.
Here I explain how to do it:
th-cam.com/video/bLOlQzxwgMM/w-d-xo.html
His fence set up for the track always keeps the kerf in the same spot on the table. It may not work for everyone, but it is a very smart idea!
Hello beautiful and perfect work I want to try to make a band saw like yours. Please where are all the plans and measures cut? Thank you very much
Marcus Vinicius Bernardo
Super
Hi. You are my favourite TH-cam channel. :)
Thanks!
Hi Paoson
Great band saw, I would like to know how the plywood in the load bearing post
is holding up?

Why you don't use ball-bearing insted
after using bearings in several band saws, I noticed that they make a lot of noise!
@@Paoson_Woodworking ok got it, thank you for reply
I listen to you to make circular saws but do not have the parameters & specifications for me to follow (very hearing given me the size, no thanks)
If you'd like to help me, you can upload subtitles in your own language following this link:

Hi.Aren't the bearings better?

Hello, can you tell me please how you cut with your Bosch track saw without cutting your work bench even a little ?? Fantastic videos, thank you.
