I bought my adjustable router template several years ago. I just couldn't afford the Festool stuff. I did make an out rigger to keep the router from tipping over and I put an extra large base plate on to keep the tipping down. I like your idea, may have to spend some time in the shop adding that on.

This is a great improvement to the original jig ... many thanks for the video, it's a great option 👍 I think I'd rather make the type where the side of router runs along the edge of the frame, which cuts an exact edge in a sacrificial base, no need for bushings or calculating offsets 😀
