Jindo, you did it again. You seriously did it again, haven't you!?. Masterpiece after Masterpiece. After three games in the Sky, two games on the Bell of Cross and four games on the plains of Erebos, heroes from afar come to aid their comrades in their greatest fight. Building this fight for 9 Games and letting Jindo destroy your ears with such a legendary OST. Damn am I happy to be able to play the series. November 2019: When my life changed.
So, I think I've pinpointed why this song's tone is so drastically different from the tone of Majestic Roar and Celestial Coalescence, yet still works beautifully for the fight it's from. It's because at this point, there's no one left to actually challenge Class VII on an ideological front. Ishmelga's ideology is so drastically different from the various ideologies held not only by Rean (and Class VII by extension), but literally everyone else in the game, Osborne included, that it isn't even a threat. There's no way that his world view will come out on top. So despite Ishmelga Loge being the most powerful enemy they've fought, the fight is one that, on a thematic level, Class VII cannot lose. At first, the title for this song that came out directly right after i heard it on the final dungeon was "Victory Marching", lol, and turned out to be To The Future, i think they are in the same way at least.. Since my friend forced me to play this series, im very thankful to him for that, Trails has been jump to the very top of my most fav jrpg series of all time! Just finished the 4th, altho its all well, i just dont like how they didnt explain in detail on why my fav char (Claire) kept supporting the enemy side.. Well i know obviously, but it just didnt come out from herself in detail.. Well, waiting for the english version of Trails of the Beginning.. Will start Sky 1 2 3, Azure and Zero now back to back..
The whole trails of cold steel series has such a great Soundtrack. I loved it. I love also the Final Fantasy franchise. Just like the Ost. But the Cold Steel Saga, has moved me far more then the whole ff franchise. I even learned something from the Games. Thank you Falcom you moved me to tears, in a positive way. The Soundtrack of the Games, the Character developing, the Backgrounds and the Story
I agree with you whole-heartedly, but Final Fantasy couldn't do better even if each game in the series was doubley as good as this one, mainly because of the wonderful world building trails as a whole has done. They can't exactly do that with Final Fantasy since each game is its own thing. That being said, i love both series :).

The Trails series has made me care more about their characters than any other JRPG has ever. Falcom knows how to write great character interactions and make the player invested in what happens to them.
@@narius_jaden215 oh final fantasy can defnetly do it, alot of times certain characters are left out sure, but the series does have its beautifull moments, and since its a different cast everytime you never get stuck with a cast or someone you hate (like rean). Also, in the cold steel games, the world exploration to me didnt hold a thing to how final fantasy does it, and it removed from the experience. I can surely say that ff9 moved my way more than any cold steel game (but not sky and/or crossbell)
With how little Kuro 2 did to advance the plot I wouldn't count on Kuro 3 to be the arc finale. Kinda expecting a Coldsteel repeat at this point of 4 games + 1 epilogue game that ties up loose ends. Compared to CS2 we have even less of a clue whats going on besides the octogenesis existing.
Peak Kiseki moment is when you put Rean, Victor, Aurelia and Rose into team A and realising that Ishmelga is absolutely out of their league and fucked. Should’ve tried for a different time period when all four does not simultaneously walk the proverbial earth
Varsblade 20 Yeah, so many awesome tracks. The first one I heard from Sen IV was Constraint when it got uploaded. I clicked on the video without too much conviction, but upon listening to it, I was like "Wait, this is actually VERY good!" And lots of other tracks attracted my attention in the same way. I really didn't expect that after my disappointment in Sen III's OST.
Making a fantastic track considering the deadlines and the issues he had through out of these 2 CS games and the old JDK band is just insane to me, what a Insane composer to still work at Falcom and still make a impactful music.

So I finished the games some weeks ago and fuck Falcom for this first end, I didn't wanted to see it ! But seriously, I found this series with cold steel 1, I watched a let's play of the 1, 2 and 3 cold steel and decided to play the 4 because it the end of a serie and I wanted to play it by myself and not watching it, and I regret nothing. At the end of cold steel 3, I was fucking crying when the courageous was destroyed, and since I never expected the courageous to be actually destroyed with people it it, I said just before that "ah ah, what are gonna now that there the courageous ? Destroy it maybe", and then I saw the courageous be destroyed with three incredible character, I let you imagine how my mind was after this and Milium just after. So in cold steel 4 when Towal and prince Oliver showed up I was also crying, but of joy (and also when the viscount arseid showed up later), and the same thing for Crow and Milium. And at the end, since I was so attached to the characters of this game, when I saw the normal ending I was not happy, thankfully there's a true ending where nobody died !... Except Valimar and Ordine (rest in peace the mecha) Even If I did finished the game with the best ending I'm still sad, because I finished a game that I didn't want to finish, not because the game is bad, because it's not, but more because I know that it's the last time I played with Class 7, and I fucking love class 7 ! Welp, now it's time to play to the others trails game before cold steel to really understand everything in the serie and play again cold steel to entirely understand the story of these games ! (an excuse to play with class 7 again ? I don't know what you're talking about...)

@@Walamonga1313 Well now I did play them, just after playing sky and Crossbell, and weirdly, I prefer sky and Crossbell to cold steel. Sky showed me how a very character is written and crossbell how fights can still be fun even if it's hard (and other things but that the mains things I found), and, well, cold steel does have some good character but I don't think there's at least one very good character and even if fights are fun, they are not hard at all, even in nightmare. I still like Coldsteal and still thinks they are good game, but I think there was some weird choice that made the games worst.
I might get hate from you guys, but this battle was "easy" for me. I mean, I know I shouldn't compare this against the battle vs the Azure Demiourgos, but that battle was harder. Maybe, it is because him was already weak, but idk, anyways, the music, shit, made me feel sad and made remember the main theme fron Trails from Zero. It's just like CS2's final boss track. It's not a boss track. It's basically the conclusion to the story. The boss is just there to get pummeled by your favourite characters.
As great of a song as it may be, I can't help but feel it wasn't the best choice to also make it the final boss theme. When you stack it up against The Merciless Savior, Dreamy and Boisterous Holy Land, and The Azure Arbitrator...it just pales in comparison, at least as a final boss theme, especially when this is the final boss theme of the entire Cold Steel series.
This is a late reply but I hard disagree with this. The point of this isn’t suppose to be an insane intense final boss, you had Osborne for that. This is supposed to a great send off to the Erebonia arc, with everyone banding together against a common enemy. And this song is perfect for it and I’m really glad they reused it for Ishmelga.

An Dương Đức I don’t really understand why people accuse Rean of being a Mary Sue. He has weakness on weakness both emotionally and physically. He runs away from his studies due to a lack self confidence and the gets his ass whooped time and time again slowly learning. If he started how he is at the end of 4 then he would be a Mary Sue but the Rean that we see at 4 is a wholly different and more intricate and mature rean then we met at first.
Because the story handle him the wrong way that he ended up a Mary Sue. Plus, I won't call a dude keep crying whenever shits gone wrong and put all the blame on himself all the time a mature person, and I won't call that kind of growing a character development either.And everyone suck his dick, fucking Mary Sue.

Way too soon for a big epic team up again. Coldsteel 4 was the culmination of Sky, Crossbell, and the eastern and western Erebonia arcs of Coldsteel.

@@Walamonga1313 Well now I did play them, just after playing sky and Crossbell, and weirdly, I prefer sky and Crossbell to cold steel.
Sky showed me how a very character is written and crossbell how fights can still be fun even if it's hard (and other things but that the mains things I found), and, well, cold steel does have some good character but I don't think there's at least one very good character and even if fights are fun, they are not hard at all, even in nightmare.
I still like Coldsteal and still thinks they are good game, but I think there was some weird choice that made the games worst.
Borrows very slightly from Daft Punk's "Touch," but it fits the song well.

I might get hate from you guys, but this battle was "easy" for me. I mean, I know I shouldn't compare this against the battle vs the Azure Demiourgos, but that battle was harder. Maybe, it is because him was already weak, but idk, anyways, the music, shit, made me feel sad and made remember the main theme fron Trails from Zero. Just finished yesterday and tbh, I already have this nostalgia. But I hope I can play Hajimari, Kuro and newer trails games. This song, is optimistic and I love it.

Good "final dungeon" theme, but I don't think it is suited as a "boss theme" IMO.
It's just like CS2's final boss track. It's not a boss track. It's basically the conclusion to the story. The boss is just there to get pummeled by your favourite characters.
As great of a song as it may be, I can't help but feel it wasn't the best choice to also make it the final boss theme. When you stack it up against The Merciless Savior, Dreamy and Boisterous Holy Land, and The Azure Arbitrator...it just pales in comparison, at least as a final boss theme, especially when this is the final boss theme of the entire Cold Steel series.
This is a late reply but I hard disagree with this. The point of this isn’t suppose to be an insane intense final boss, you had Osborne for that. This is supposed to a great send off to the Erebonia arc, with everyone banding together against a common enemy. And this song is perfect for it and I’m really glad they reused it for Ishmelga.

An Dương Đức I don’t really understand why people accuse Rean of being a Mary Sue. He has weakness on weakness both emotionally and physically. He runs away from his studies due to a lack self confidence and the gets his ass whooped time and time again slowly learning. If he started how he is at the end of 4 then he would be a Mary Sue but the Rean that we see at 4 is a wholly different and more intricate and mature rean then we met at first.
Because the story handle him the wrong way that he ended up a Mary Sue. Plus, I won't call a dude keep crying whenever shits gone wrong and put all the blame on himself all the time a mature person, and I won't call that kind of growing a character development either.And everyone suck his dick, fucking Mary Sue.
