Howdy Everyone! Almost posted the wrong video, but I'm back again for another Rare Shikushi upload! This time we revisit an older Touhou remix that really needed more love, but before we divulge into that, crediting time!

now that we got some of that out of the way, you might ask "why did I remake this song?" well, you could listen to the original song and realize how buried everything sounded, but honestly youtube's compression kinda helped it sound alot better than it should've, you can see it especially when looking at the bandcamp version of the older song. While i feel i still could've improved in more places, i feel past this point its an issue with the amount of instruments and such that makes it much more of a challenge mixing and mastering. But at the very least, i can feel more proud of this one than the older one. also yes i changed the bpm from like 136 to 141, it just kinda felt cooler.
the amount of hours i added to this version is a little harder to calculate than last time, since i had made 1-2 variations later down the line to see if doing something would improve it before jumping back a few projects version and getting back to work. the file i worked the most on before jumping back 3 versions has logged 116 hours and 10 minutes, and on top of that i'd add maybe another 4-5 work hours from the other versions.
so yeah i added another 35-40 hours to the song, but considering how much i had to fix, its somewhat understandable, and this also goes into redoing the entire video of it too, which honestly that only took like a day. its just that i had to adjust and rework so many things in the song that before i knew it I was another 40 hours in!
I even logged some changes I did to a certain point that addressed alot of the major changes from this version from the original version, while I dont know if i can fit them here or not, i'll see if i can post them somewhere else, (maybe i'll actually use my twitter account for once at x.com/Shikushi...)
Lately i've been having Teeth pains and such, which turns out is my wisdom teeth screaming to be released from its oral sarcophagus, so i've been dealing with that the past week and a half and its not been fun, but i have been putting a little more time into music as a result, so i suppose my teeth are the reason this is being released when it is! Though, i probably wont post much more for a little while, i have to work on my classes and such as well so i dont fall too far behind, but if i have a little extra time i might sneak another thing out before december, maybe speedrun a song like i did for the Cirno Remix!
Anyways i should probs wrap up typing this soon, as I have spent a fair of time doing this already, and at this second dont have anything else to include, but i may add onto it later. not like yall would notice cuz that would imply yall read these little paragraphs where i let my brain just run and talk about things, but if you do read these, i appreciate it, typing these out is kinda therapeutic i suppose, atleast thats the only reason i can think of as to why i do this lmao. but yall have a great one, and hopefully i will see yall sooner or later!

Really good job remixing this one, the instruments for sure come through clearer! It's wild how youtube (imo) murders the quality on this one compared to the original. Also the original is a little more punchy in the bass... I loved the original and I still like it but this version is definitely better!

I think its less that youtube is hurting the quality in this one as much as it is that the old one peaked so hard that youtube adjusting the audio somehow fixed it lmao, but even with that, the amount of instruments that were drowned or disappeared in the older version was insane.
