They are both awesome. Quality can and will only increase very incremental over the years. Can't go wrong either way. Pixel 6 pro for me cause it the freedom and customization.
Awesome video! I recently switched to the 13 pro from oneplus and I’m extremely impressed by the phone and its camera system. The pixel’s image detail is stunning, major respect to google.
One of the big weaknesses of the old pixels was shadow detail and crushing some of those details. It's crazy to see them fix that and show better shadow detail than the iPhone in photos Ive seen
Amazing stuff. I think I would like to see more on the zoom aspect. Unless I missed it here, i've heard that the pixel telephoto is almost capable of macro style photos if you get a few feet away on something, which also makes me curious of what the video aspect is capable of.
I love the look of that blue iPhone, but when I put into consideration the price to performance/features ratio, I think I might be going with the Pixel Pro.

Excellent review, thanks. One question - how much detail is available in the Pixel 6 Pro's telephoto camera? That is, if you take photos at 4x optical and 20x digital, then enlarge them (eg 100x to compare with the S21 Ultra) in post, what to they look like?

Nice. So I'm curious to see how these do on challenging landscape photos with the widest angle and tightest optical zoom lenses (no digital zooming). I do a lot of thru-hiking, and I'm hoping I can use the Pixel 6 Pro for wide and tight shots. But I've been reading some reviews that say the wide-angle lens on the Pixel 6 Pro is weak.

I Think The Pixel 6 Pro is Just about Perfect, although I personally don't care for the 'Motion' feature.
I don't quite understand why anyone would want to have a Major part of their video look Blurry 🤔.

You glanced over the telephoto module in both phones. Both feature a good focal length for portrait photography and is a massive upgrade for the Pixel.
Most people seem to forget that you can just take a regular shot without "portrait mode" and you'll still get a great portrait from the telephoto

Photos are definitely goes to pixels. Love the potraits. Video goes to IPhone but Pixel have improved a tiny bit from the previous models in term of videos but don't really care cause I only took 10% of videos from my camera. 90% are still photos esp. potraits. I think I would consider P6. Thanks for the video bro.😊

No one really talks about the face unblur feature on the pixel. I like the white balance adjustment slider. Helps tune shot for great out of cam shots. I like styles on the iPhone. I use profiles on my a6400. Vivid Iis more my style.
People don't seem to take motion shots in general. That's why in Sony phone camera comparisons they don't even use its main feature properly - taking burst shot of panning the camera on a static scene isn't a motion shot lol
The Face unblur also requires someone to be moving fast
Pixel comes with a new prosessor and they are still working on it. Beacause we can expect that pixel6and 6pro will get more

They're both good, just different styles , like comparing a Fuji to a canon camera. I have a pixel 6 and I would be happy with the iPhone too. Pixel handles highlights better

After seeing several comparisons I see a trend. The hdr on the pixel is better but in my opinion overdone. White becomes light grey and deep black becomes dark grey but this is not what the eye sees. The iPhone does more what the eye sees. I do understand however that more people like pictures that aren’t blown out in the highlights
This. Used to have s21 ultra which acted like pixel 6 does now and I actually prefer iPhone approach here. Like someone said about photography: “ shadows are GOOD thing” 😄

Pixel wins easily ,I've noticed a lot of comparisons don't do it justice ,it's literally the only phone for years that's stepped up and took a leap with the camera
iphone always focuses on what is on the foreground and emphasises them. Unlike android flagships with good hDR they try to balance and lift up darker places and blows out sky less often. It is going on for years now. Still no change. If iphone can solve their HDR issue,iphone photography will be a step closer to allround balanced phone camera for all situations.

Did you took the picture on the same place with no modification of the black board? On the 6 Pro I see some white things at the top and down of the board.
On the iPhone I see white things just down on the board.
The position of the white things have been changed by a someone or at some conditions the cameras of both of the phones see different pixels?
They could be light reflections in the lens. The iPhone ones are stronger than on most other phones.
Due to the slight difference in angle, the reflections are also at a different angle on each phone
I have the pixel 6 pro and magic eraser does not work no where near as well as it did with the example Google showed during the Google event

So many videos claiming how Pixel over-brightens nightsight images, but isn't that the whole point of night sight? If you wanted just to have a more natural image, then don't use night sight, just use the regular camera with a flash. The fact that the PIxel is actually ABLE to lift these images clearly makes it a superior "night sight" winner.

If I had to pick pictures for uploading on social media I would choose iPhone. If You care about all that background detail, dynamic range, true tone, accuracy, vibrancy blah blah blah than you’d better get a professional camera. And for video, bro what are you talking about that they’re head to head? iPhone’s video capabilities are way ahead. What I’m trying to say here is that pixel is definitely good, but if you want an all-rounded camera that does everything very good than iPhone is obviously a better choice. Pixel isn’t very good in the video department and it also takes time to process everything which I find annoying. So overall winner 👉🏼 iPhone 13 pro

I disagree with most of your thoughts in each comparison. I can see that you prefer pixel, so you can’t be objective, but in reality there where with out any doubt, better on shoots on iPhone some times, and you just become elusive on some clear details about those iPhone photos.
No comparison with iPhones, when it comes about video.
