Sebastian! Just received my sample in the mail. First click for me: Homme De Gres (96'). Highly reminiscent Basil Chypre. Genuinely a fan of this, thank you for sharing. First introduction to tomato leaf in fragrance was Penhaligon's Espirit du Roi - on the powdered side to my recollection. On a GREEN note: I'd like to suggest Mal Aimé & Corsica Furiosa by Parfum D'Empire, as well as Un Matin D'Orage by Annick Goutal (more floral... but to me in same wheel house as JCE's Apres La Mousson).
Forgive me if I am wrong, but I think this was Ellena's first commercial release. It is very very green and vegetal, which I find perfect for hot, humid weather. It is so tomato leaf and basil centered, with a little oak moss and lemon. Reminds me of standing next to your garden in the back yard, sipping a lemon water as the sun warms the tomato plants and herbs. Very sunny and natural smelling. I get about 4 hours with a few sprays on my skin and shirt.
I absolutely love this fragrance!! The experience for me is being with my dad in his garden as I played Rhythms for him on a white fishing “bucket” being a Professional Drummer, when I first smelled this scent @NM, the experience and vision I get from this scent is what I communicated to the S.A. Then purchased it!! Thanks for this video guys! by the way Dalya is adorable💯♥️
Thank you for bringing this fragrance to our attention. I have been using Sisley products for years, they are a plant based skincare line and they have beautiful cosmetics as well. I recently purchased a bottle of Eau Tropicale and I love Izia (Sisley has so many fragrances I've never tried). I am sure I have a sample of Eau de Campagne somewhere, Sisley used to have a monthly subscription sample program and they sent fragrance and the fragranced body care samples as well as their regular skincare line. I am really curious about this fragrance now, my husband plants tomatoes every summer (in NJ), and I am very familiar with the experience of picking tomatoes that you describe. Sadly, we are at the end of our tomato crop for this year, it's always a sad day when we eat the last tomato 🙁. There is nothing like a beautiful Jersey home-grown tomato!! Thanks for the video and take care, Ginny 😘😘😘
I have known this fragrance for many years and recently bought another 100ml bottle. Very refreshing, the tomato plant stands out well, perfect for warm weather. On my skin it lasts several hours. It also gives me a feeling of lightness and lightheartedness. I am a Sisley fan and my favorite fragrance is Eau du soir - fantastic, very feminine and classy with a crazy duration of over 12 hours. I also have Izia, Soir de luna and Eau Tropical. These fragrances deserve deepening and sharing. Thanks for the video!
Absolutely a master composition, the most realistic tomato leaf in the perfume world. I personally don't like to smell like tomato. I prefer other Sisley compositions such as Eau de Soir or Eau de Sisley 3. I think it is a brand of excellent quality that should be better valued. Thank you, I really enjoy your videos, both when you do them alone and when they accompany you, such as Dalia today.
I just my bottle today and wore it at work. Dropped at the front door just as I was about to leave and I hadn’t put on a frag yet. First snif? Omg. It’s that scent you get when you pull of a tomato from the vine by pinching it between your fingers at the stem. Then you sniff the tips of your fingers and that smell just lingers. It was absolutely fantastic. This is probably the most unique fragrance I think I’ve ever smelled that smells exactly how it’s described of a real world scent that isn’t just tobacco or vanilla or citrus etc. Thank you so much for the recommendation. I highly suggest you all get this. I might even just get a second bottle just in case. Amazing.
Best tomatoe fragrance eveeeeer imo was 1999 limited edition Vice Versa from YSL. It was definitely one of a kind perfume and if I had one magic wish when it comes to perfumes, it would be to bring that perfume back. I have been trying to find something similar ever since but without any luck so far. Gah, I loved that perfume sooo much.
Thanks Sebastian and Dalia for this review. I really like Un Jardin Sur Le Nil and I have been looking for scents similar to it. So as soon as I heard from you that Sisley eau de campagne smells somewhat similar, I went ahead and ordered it.
Dalya, looking beautiful!!! Sebastian looking great!!! Both of you on Zoom and sound good, refreshing review about tomato's 🍃🌱, enjoying listening your storys agriculture and description of Scent, I like this Sisley eau de campagne!
I've been wondering about getting a tomato leaf fragrance for a while now, partly because I just love the smell of tomato plants but also because the smell always reminds me of my grandfather's greenhouse on summer holiday visits. This is definitely going on the to-get list, thank you so much for the review
I've not heard of this house so it's great to be turned on to something new :) And always great to see you and dalya together. Tomato leaf is a note that twists my face 😵 still interesting to learn about this :)
Great topic! I love tomato leaf. Speaking of frags, I don’t know if this one is well known. Not many mentions. Parfum d’Empire has a frag called Corsica Furiosa that has a fine, bright tomato leaf accord. It’s beautiful, sharp and bright. It’s not precisely tomato leaf but pretty close to my nose. (I sprayed it then went out to my tomato vine...you can smell the difference but the perfume is just wonderful.) Also, another Dalya fan here! Love the vids y’all make together.
Thank you! I am a big JCE fan but haven't tried this. The only thing that gives me pause is that you said there is patchouli in the base, so the question is: how detectable is it? Also, would you consider doing a top 10 bitter fragrances list? I realize that there may be some overlap with green fragrances (which you link to here), but one devoted to bitter would be such a treat.
I have just tested it this afternoon in my right arm cause I am looking for a sort of classic fresh cologne. Wonderful opening but regretfully barely lasts half an hour in shape. In my left arm I have worn Chanel Allure Sport Cologne which I like very much and besides lasts some more that a couple of hours. Would like to test also L'eau de Guerlain 1974 but I was not lucky yet to find a tester.

Tomatoes and I are mortal enemies. 😫😵😳🤭🤢🤮 Never mess with the red ring of death! 😱🍅🍅

This is a trip down memory lane. I love Eau de campagne! I wore it 30 years ago when I was 18 😊

Holy moly! I love tomato leaf and never knew it was used in fragrance😳
Oh yes and it's so good! I hope you get to try it! :)

Great video, one of my favorites perfumes. Was waiting for someone to review it.

I Also like to mix this Tomatoe with Motzzarala Cheese and smell like a Caprese SAlad LOL Allure is Nice i Wear the Deodorant
OMG one more added to the list to try
Just one question: it’s not weird at all to smell exactly like a tomato leaf? I mean somehow it smells like fragrance too, right?
LOL
It does dry down to something nice that lingered all day. Green. And earthy but fragrant.
Any similarities with Valentino Uomo Acqua?
There are also prominent tomato leafs
Such an interesting choice for a new video! I lovd Izia. Will have to try this one.
🍅🌿....MUST HAVE.....searching.....

My first experience with tomato leaf in a fragrance was Lacoste Essential
Lacoste essential has tomato leaf. Very fresh, clean and green scent that stands out from MANY of today's fragrances.
I need to check, I have def heard about this! :)
I love this i bought 3 bottles from it 😍
I love it.
How would you compare it with cassis en feuille by Miller Harris?
I love these type of videos!
Thank you!! :)
Missed you both together❤️❤️
I’m sold.
Were can you find this Frangrances at ?
If you can get your nose on Shirley by Tsvga Parfvms, let us know! It contains a lot of tomato leaf absolute.
Dalya ❤️
