Love mine. Use it as a sling bag with no problem and place it in the front. Honestly it works just as welll as any sling bag across the chest so not sure why you said it's "uncomfortale". Not to mention there's padding too. Also LOVE the Hill Peoeple's workmanship.
No, only fanny packs where there is a significant portion of the pack above the strap.. This pack would work fine if the strap was mounted at the top of the pack.
I third the cross body carry. I heard about this bag from a Navy Seal’s TH-cam channel and he uses it when he runs so not sure about the issues waist carrying it. Cross body works great for me especially since changing out the zipper pull cords for some that are easier to grab and differentiate between the gun compartment and the others. Also a trigger guard holster attached to the inside with 550 cord works much better than any other holster inside the bag.
This is an example of a REVIEW - concise, thoughtful, insightful, well paced - provides rational for his comments. No wobbly /wandering camera, no weather report, etc
Strongly disagree. I've used this pack for years, as have several of my friends and my wife, it's a solid choice for a pistol carry fanny type pack, and far better made than most on the market. I had mine on all today today. Extremely handy and comfortable. even though I'm recovering from a major surgery right now.
Not as much of an issue with bags with more narrow belts and that hang completely under the belt. The belt serves as a hinge point so pushing out on the lower part rotates the portion above the belt into your abdomen. If none of it sat above the belt this wouldn’t be the case. But yes, in general hip packs aren’t ideal. I just use the same sized chest pack now.
The transit sling is a great bag. Its main flaw is that as with most sling type bags, it is not truly reversible, hence wearing it on one shoulder, over time it tweaks your back out of alignment. Vertx overall makes fantastic kit!!
Also bike riding that way could be dangerous because the weapon is pressed agents your spine which could lead to injury but great advice about the pack
@@ACommenterOnTH-cam they’re referring to to pressing against you in the event of an accident where you fall on it. It’s a common enough injury that bicyclist avoid loading gear against the spine.
It’s meant to be wore in the back , hence the name fanny pack . fanny meaning ass means that the pack rides on your ass. if you want to access your weapon, you swing the pack around rip and pull.
would be perfect if it had a zipper pocket in the very back that pressed against your body for passports and wallet. My preference is to carry on my back or against my back.
Great review, quality made but the comments are spot on..... My criticism is the price. I think the bag is overpriced for what it is{a fanny pack}, but there are those who will argue that point. There are many other good quality alternative brands .

I believe the main issue mentioned would be a problem with about 100% of other fanny packs...

@@daedalus9042 do you mean "below the strap"? Cus his main complaint is the lower part hitting his legs
Just bought this one too, but I use it as a cross body bag and it works great
second the cross-body as well! super light and easy to use

I also love the cross body carry style.
That’s what I was gonna do with it I’m a bigger guy I think carrying cross body be more comfortable I’m a delivery driver so I shit most of the time
@@1790jmanIt sorta needs a thinner strap for using it for waist carry. I really like the spiritus big fanny for that, and this for cross body.

Wouldn't you have the same issue with any waist bag/fanny pack? There aren't any packs that will be flexible once you put a gun in them.

@@daedalus9042 ok, now I get what you were saying.
Have you tried a vertx transit sling bag? In my opinion, there is no faster off body draw/carry option on the market.

Is it uncomfortable to wear it above your hips but still on the front as long as you don't have a lot of weight in it? Thanks for the review.
It’s better with less weight, but the main purpose for me was to carry a sidearm, which is enough weight to make it uncomfortable for 1-2 mile walks.
Uncomfortable might not be the right word, it’s more annoying than anything.
@@daedalus9042 what are you carrying as EDC? My guess is the fire arm might be too big to fit in the snubby size.
I wonder how it compares to Spiritus Systems size one. I like the small size of the spiritus. Big enough for a G19 size pistol.
What alternative are you looking at now for a carry belt pack?
Do you still have this and are you still wanting to sell/trade it?
I actually sold it to another commenter 🙂
Can it run a Glock 19 with room to spare?
Let me have it! On my Christmas list! I'll pay shipping 😂
It’s already sold 🙂
@@daedalus9042 DANG IT! Too slow lol next time
It is a bit bulky. I I use a Patagonia ul and it works great for a small pistol.
I don’t Captain Morgan very often, so problemo
Let me know if you want to sell it
Same here. If I need to bend down or climb stairs I’ll whip it back or side. Nice bag though.
If your looking to sell let me know
Shoot me a message on IG @daedalus9042

as if the pack is pressing so much against your spine to do any damage LOL

Try the Vanquest Dendrite.
Hey can you attach the chest rig to that? 🤔 like could the pack be a 2 on one?

It could be worn cross body style, like over one shoulder and down across your chest or back at an angel. Just sayin, that's probably how I'd wear it.

yes WAY too over priced for what it is
Thank you for this! The search continues! Just an FYI I'm looking to sell my barely used runners kit bag if anyone is interested
