I've watched this twice a year or more, for the past like, 8 years. The vibes are so good, musically and emotionally. They're having a great time and it comes out in the music execution.
No one Knows, like a Stephen knows... how to make me fall in love with music Malkmus style! I love steve!
Best live set! You’re lying if you say this is your first time watching this
11 years? I remember 1991 with sonic youth in manchester ... the original manchester in England... my favourite front man Stephen the Cypriate Malkmus... god love him!!❤
Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks has done so much great music!! Asking Price is just one of their masterpieces…
The distortion is way too clear!😊😊😊
I love the Mirror Traffic lp and this live performance is fantastic.
It's nice to see a happy Malkmus at the intro.
Great artist
"and all the kids that are cutting class today, you can try to draw some of those on your notebooks."
Kcrw has been pretty dull in the morning since Bentley took over and even after he stepped aside, but Im thankful the Jicks got their shot to try and be interesting
Yeah haha! Actually, Matador asked Stephen to make a "non swearing" version of the song for broadcasts.
Hahhahahaha GOOD MORNING DUDE, WUZZUP??? Stephen is the best.
It is funny hearing them speak of Thurston Moore and Beck. I think of Thurston Moore wearing the T-shirt that says: "I am not Beck" since I guess many people would make that mistake.
This is one of my favorite sets ever. Mirror Traffic may not be a critical darling but its flow very much reminds me of Wowee Zowee (albeit poppier); you'll never know what you're gonna get but it's perfect nonetheless. And I love this performance of Gorgeous Georgie, which is also a stunning album ender by the way.
It's not? I think it's one of his better Jickster records
I love all of these Mirror Traffic tunes. Looking forward to the next album.
Watching 11-4-2020. Crying.
"You can put it [the bass noise distraction] on standby through that WAH"... HAAAAH ....hah around ~ 21min. Also, the Do not Feed the Oyster song (on a different album) is all about that walrus and carpenter from Alice in Wonderland. Finally, the MC/DJ makes me a little nervous, like the voice from Saw or Scream. I don't blame the guy or anything
Great band! It's "funny enough" when you see a flying drum stick during "Senator" behind Stephen, on the screen at 32:50 haha.
Such a great band.
Dude... Keep the jams coming. Great fabulous performance from the entire band. 🔥!
This is amazing.
Great sounding set.
All I've ever wanted is a snow job
I wish I had Commented on how much I love this when I first fell in Love!
fantastique
Jake, the legend grows; see Senator past 31:00
+chrisocony I meant to say you have to go to 32:51 to see him lose his stick and then he has to recover over the next 15 seconds, great stuff
Blazers suck tho
they are great
snow job!
wow, this is prety cool.
15:03 "i do not believe in that shit- oh" hahaha
35:54 is that the same jacob from the pavement song at&t?
bummer his guitar is so low, love his solos!
