I've heard people criticizing rosetta stone for having the same content for all languages and therefore often irrelevant to Japanese culture. Is it still like that today?
Now that you mention it, I tried a bit of the Chinese course and they were quite similar. I think they are experimenting with some live lessons and videos about Japanese culture but there were very few when I was using Rosetta so it's still probably not great.
