    Let me know what your favorite apps are for studying Japanese!!! I need to increase the number of apps in my boxy thing 🦔

      NativShark is my current favorite!
      Already posted elsewhere talking about it but I figure more people will read this and the extra comment helps the algorithm ☺

      @@jakiru8783 thanks! that's some serious learning app! I'm checking it out. Are you affiliated with it? (just curious)

    • @jakiru8783
      @jakiru8783 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@fmaylinch Nope, but "Ty's Take" is one on TH-cam.
      After having used it awhile I've liked it for building my base vocabulary but I'm careful not to take all the flashcards they give me (or archive older redundant ones) so I don't get too overwhelmed since they can give you a lot of cards and many subsequent cards have previously learned words in the sentences.
      When the renewal comes I think I'll move on instead to a Sentence Mining app (such as Migaku) and pair it with another app I recently found called Kanshudo, which might be worth looking into as well!
      I'd type more but it seems my previous comment was deleted so I could answer more questions if you'd like.

    • @fmaylinch
      @fmaylinch ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jakiru8783 thank you very much for replying even when yt deleted your comment! I have been there, I don't know why it deletes my comments frequently (and I know I should not write URLs) :)
      I've tried 20 lessons in NativShark and I'm liking it. Audios are a bit fast, but maybe it's better to get used to normal speech from the beginning.
      I guess I'll try Migaku and Kanshudo after I acquire some vocabulary and grammar.
      Thanks again for your recommendations. If you have any other suggestion for a beginner, I'd be glad to know!

    For me I use wanikani ( and Tsurukame), kamesame, Bunpro ( different from bunpo) , Genki textbooks, Anki decks, and I see a Japanese tutor weekly-ish on italki. I think that is everything!

    Thank you for your app recommendations! I’m going to Japan in May on a Working Holiday Visa. I’ve been studying for 3 years and I’m really excited about trying to talk the language more. Your videos are really comforting to watch as someone solo-travelling to Japan :)

    Kanji Study Poro is absolute King for Kanji, it's fun and you learn Kanji with Pictures, 100 a day is not a Problem with that, Kana pro for Katakana and Hiragana, well and the rest vocabulary, vocabulary, vocabulary. Grammer is the last thing and in one year you will learn japanese only by reading and watching Shows. *Good luck and dont give up 😉*
