Hello everyone, thank you for watching. If you like what I do, please support the channel by subscribing, 'pushing the bell' and liking the video - it helps a lot!
I finally received my copy of this game the other day, and I'm using your videos to confirm and reinforce what I'm learning as I work my way through the tutorials. Many thanks.
Good video, Rough!! I've been playing this game quite a bit in the last two weeks. I hope to get a channel launched in the next week or two with a Sink the Bismarck scenerio
Hi Kris and thank you for the kind comment. Good luck with the channel! Let me know when you upload the video and I can give you a plug on our weekly live stream (The War Room)!
Just working through the tutorials and this video certainly helps to double check you are going along the right path (or trajectory - cough). Thankyou for creating them.
Nice approach to teaching us - and to introducing the game designer's approach to making a complex game "learnable". I enjoy you on The WarRoom (even though I detest rants all too often thrust upon us). I can no longer make comments on that channel as my comments are "hidden", even though that channel's owner claims that he doesn't censor anyone. Because of this video series, I am subscribing to your channel. I enjoy your personality and what you bring to the various discussions,. Looking forward to exploring your channel more ...... Take care.
Hi and thanks for the sub and glad you are enjoying the videos! Good to see you on the live stream on Saturday. Not sure what's going on with the comments but you can always leave those on my channel as I now upload the stream a couple of days later.
Good stuff Rough, especially given that this is probably the most youtubed game of the last 3 months the scene is saturated. One thing these tutorials have of interesting is they don't tell you the solution per se but let you play with what the rules allow, so on some of them it becomes a great exercise on how to better command the forces at disposal for the given tasks. For some folk this has been a put off, so will be interesting to watch your series and how you deal with it. P.S. - the amount of ads is annoying. hope the monetisation is paying off.
Hi Chris, I certainly like this approach and as I said in the video, the amount of booklet pages in this game can certainly put people off! Jeremy is an expert at writing these sort of tutorials but will I be able to play the game when I've finished them? - I'll let you know! 🙂
Well I bought the game… set up the first tutorial, could not make heads or tales, then saw what the first scenario was all about on the web and … decided that a scenario based on exactly 3 die rolls was not my cup of tea. Mind you I played dozens of games of 3 Reich, the Panzer series is my favorite wargame series and Enemy Action : Ardennnes is my only rated 10/10 game on BGG. Having owned and played around 500 different eurogames, thematic games and wargames, I call this kind of introducing rules to players a true torture. Certainly for a game where the AI is just a series of die rolls which date back to the old B17 of Avalon Hill. Get to the Port first by rolling a die … exciting… I am not saying this game is not good. Its rule structure simply put me off and its huge box is now sitting idly in my closet… Sell or not that is the eternal question… I think I will and invest the money in MBT to simulate a few tank battles with T72 in Ukraine…
Shame you feel that way The BoBo but it's one of my favourite games! Running a close second is the Panzer series! Hope you give it another go before selling (although I don't think you'll have much trouble getting rid of it).
Thanks
Thank you George, greatly appreciated.

Wow. These tutorials and the solo game were fantastically done! After watching these videos reading the rules was a snap!
Glad you like them!
Another great video. Your teaching style is excellent.
Thank you Timothy! :)

I'm enjoying this vid, while waiting for the rain, here on the Dutch coast. I am going to add this awesome looking game to my wishlist
Excellent job!
Thank you Brun De Brauc, it's certainly different - it's raining here as well!

Hey Rough
Have you found this approach easier than the usual of reading through the whole rule book first and then trying out the game ?
Hi Chris, I certainly like this approach and as I said in the video, the amount of booklet pages in this game can certainly put people off! Jeremy is an expert at writing these sort of tutorials but will I be able to play the game when I've finished them? - I'll let you know! 🙂
Been waiting for this playthrough 🤗
Thanks Kyle! 🙂👍
Really enjoy your vids, you do a fantastic job 🇬🇧 So glad I snagged this game, it's going to sell out very quickly.
Hi Robert - thanks for the kind comment! I'm glad I decided at the last moment to get this as well! 🙂
Thank you for the video!
Thank you and glad you enjoyed the video! 👍
You are a very good teacher (says a teacher)

The novel rules certainly put me off rather than the length of the rules.
It's certainly different, Kili! :)
