Every time a copy a save in bruteforce it says unreadable and appears in red can somebody explain me why?

This worked for me. my Win7 64-bit installed the x64 (64-bit) version.
Loaded game saves, but they are labeled as UNREADABLE and I cannot do anything with them.
This is either a permissions issue or can occur if you haven't installed Microsoft Visual Basic C++ 2010 (x86). Make sure you install the x86 version, not the x64.

same, BFSD works fine on my PC, but I can only use my Laptop atm, and it too is x64, I noticed that it installed vcredist_x64. then I read the FAQ. =D

This worked, but I accidentally messed up and had to reinstal BruteForce, and what worked for me at that point was NOT hitting the update cheats list, THAT was what originally screwed me over.
Problem is that the ID shows as there until I click on the line, and then it says "unreadable". It's rather frustrating.
The video was helpful. How I made my work is that I download the config file from the description and replace my with it. Then, games that wasn't there before is now there. Copy the hash key and such from the list and paste it at the buttom of the list. From there, you bruteforce and decrypt. At the end, I was able to use the save data with full complete. I was doing this for the game Digimon All Star.
Every time I try to bruteforce I get this error:

Can you show a tutorial video on how to add your own cheat codes, I saw you mention it on one of your videos, but you never demonstrated it properly?
You show where to get the key but you never show how it happens manually. Where do I paste it? How much of it do I paste? Nothing manual was shown here.
Dunno if this applies to anyone else but I've been trying to find a way to fix this problem for awhile using every single way to fix it but still it doesn't work. So i decided to go to bruteforce to check if its a problem inside the actual program, so as i was looking for an options tab i saw at the bottom right next to "Open in explorer" there is a tab saying "All Files" so i clicked it and tried decrypting the save and it worked!
There's no way to do that

I just figured this out, on my new windows install and it was driving me crazy. if you guys are getting the "unreadable" for your saves, download either Microsoft visual basic c++ 2010 (x86) or sp1 version

this did not help at all for getting it to work. got 2 identical saves side by side and can only decrypt the one that came from somebody elses system but the one i got from rpcs3 none of the saves are working only saves that i got on the internet and the files dont show up the same. idk if you guys are still using those consoles in real life but in 2020 forward we use emulators on high end pcs and there is a huge gap in that part of the community im finding out. we need people who can help that are using emulators

In my case it is the game Samurai Warriors 4-II (digital), I cannot find its disc hash key on Google.
A fix for those who may have the key not appearing might be opening BSD in administrator mode. Happy modding :))

So I saved the disk hash key into my bruteforce folder and I started to bruteforced it and its telling me to find the elf file. So I used the save file in the bruteforce folder and its telling me to "Enter the offset to start" and input the range between 0-9968 I guess. Mind if u tell me what this is?
+K-Pop Town When I get that pop up about finding the elf key after I added the disk hash key. I make sure the Game Conf did not change to word pad doc or text file. Make sure you game conf file still says game conf not notepad. Restart computer and restart Bruteforce as Admin and you should be good to go.

@@tigerclaws098024 yeah i realised after. most have worked for me although teaching you aeons all abilities gives them 2 attack moves (both do the same thing) and removes the shield and boost options. also wish there was a way to remove all nodes on the sphere grid and replace them all with +4s. is there an updated cheat list or something?

Save yourself 12 minutes and download VB 2010. All these errors happened to me due to lack of missing msvcr100.dll

after getting the disc hash key there is a problem when you rebuilt the save it says fail and when coping the save it says currepted help :(

can u help? why the hell is my game creates a new save file when is start the game? i changed region alowed to all ps3 but it just dont want to work.
This reason why your game may create a new save because your game my have another shadow copy on your ps3 to compare the original save, in which you can't access, if the code in the original save is changed or alter in some way then the system will delete the save and create a fresh new one. Some developer do this to crack down on cheating.

Problem: "Loaded game saves, but they are labeled as UNREADABLE and I cannot do anything with them"
Solution:
This is either a permissions issue or can occur if you haven't installed Microsoft Visual Basic C++ 2010 (x86). Make sure you install the x86 version, not the x64. If you installed it and are still receiving UNREADABLE, make sure you are logged into an account with administrator privileges and are not storing your game saves on a write protected directory.

Well I do everything and everything was okay... But now on my windows 10 the bruteforce doesn't create the modified save... I couldn't find it and my original save data remains the same... Even if I choose to copy to desktop...can't write it says it's created... But there is no new save folder...
+ouchen zach that sounds so wried, I really cant say because I dont have windows 10. can you try to run in compatible mode?

My BruteForce won't open at all, I know it isn't a missing .dll issue as I installed the required .dll's already installed. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

+Emmanuel Lopez Remove Bruteforce by uninstalling it. Then install as Admin, make sure AV is off before trying this.

thxs for all the vids really!.. Sadly it didnt work for me. I mean I was able to copy my encrypted save file to ps3 (tried Sly Cooper Thieves In Time just adding cheats) but once I went into the game and try to load the file, it got corrupted at 50%. So I tried downoading my save file from the cloud, copying to my PC and doing all over. No luck. After a while i got those unreadable issues, Sometimes, there is only one key that is unreadable while the others are showing the keys but when you position yourself on any of the other files, they get the unreadable sign. Tried reinstalling everything, running pdftool from the installation folder. Open as admin on W7 and nothing. The hash key is already on the games.conf file. Its driving me crazy, been sitted here for like 4 hours and cant get the save file to work.....:(
i know the issue. after youre done doing the cheats and decrypting, press update PFD, Update pfd full, then encrypt it again. try it now.

Quick question, my param.sfo shows clearly in the file, and the sfo edito will also open it just fine but whenever i try to decrypt a save it says that the param.sfo cannot be found any help on where to look or what to do would be appreciated. (just in case it matters, the gamesave i am having troubles with is a KH:reChain from the 1.5 remix ps3) {also other gamesaves seem to work just fine, such as the first kh remix from the same disk}
