I just recently discovered your video and I am captivated and amused by your method of teaching with clear explanations.
And your ability to improvise with tools or objects like the " welding bottle cap in a vise " genuine old school Craftsman methods.
I am restoring my 1987 metal body GMC Diesel Step Van and I have been welding metals for years. But at 67 years old I am learning to
weld sheet metal like a pro thanks to you Fitzee. You have a fellow craftsman fan in Los Angeles , California.

If your other videos are this good. This will be perfect. Custom tools is also a plus! A lot of “benders” are made by me as-well! This is awesome! Good work! Guys that are this talented still have the mentality that you may take their job. So, thank you for throwing your hand out to us!!

Hi Fitzee from Melbourne Australia. I used your videos to help me make a patch panel for a rusted door bottom. For my first attempt it will do. I didn't listen to you about welding the inside of the butt. I cleaned up the outside and when I went back to touch it up I was blowing holes everywhere. I should have listen to you more closely. I have a lot of work to do to fix rust on the roof as well where it meets the back and side sections. Thanks for the helpful tips.

"What a difference a day makes" as the saying goes. Grass one day and two feet of snow the next day. Might be time to do some work on your plough truck, before it falls to pieces! With your bead roller, you might have to make up a guide plate that sits between the two thick plates, so that you can feed the sheet metal in straight by sliding it along the guide plate. Nice work on the rear panel and some more good tips along the way. By the time you finish welding up this car, it's going to look original and you'd never know it was a rust bucket when you got it . Always interesting to see how you do things and teach as you go. All the best from Queensland Australia.
