The content that your making for farming and homesteading doesn't match the editing style and video length. This editing is much more preferred for shorts and tiktok to grab attention. The attention is already here by clicking on the videos and relaxing. In honestly this editing style is more aimed to those under 20 that are having more attention span issues. As someone in mid 20's that just wants to escape my fast paced life to life vicariously through yours, its just to jarring. Hopefully you understand where most people are coming from, and see this message as more of criticism then hate as a lot of people I've seen in comments be abit to harsh. In the end hopefully with this editing style you will find more people whom will enjoy it more, only the stats will tell. I just hope your not trying to conform to meta for younger viewers while also pushing away your current community.

I stopped watching because of this. I do check in to read the comments once in a while. Sad because I love his family and want to see their remodel. I just can’t watch the choppiness. My head spins. I think he has enough followers and a if a few of us leave it won’t hurt his channel. But I really do miss watching.
Not enjoyable, too hectic! You have such great video why play it so fast? Why not play at normal speed? You don't need to narrate every minute. Your thumbnails look clownish too. Who is doing the editing these days?
I watch the Hollars because Ben knows how to fix things and Meg knows how to cook. I watch Sow the Land because Jason is good at making things. Watching him make things is therapeutic. I watch Roots and Refuge Farm because, if you want to see how to garden, there isn't a better teacher than Jess. I watch Justin Rhodes because he is a good storyteller and makes great videos. When he makes a video, he picks interesting shots. He sets up his stories. He comes across as honest and authentic. He is not embarrassed to show off his failures (and there are many) alongside his successes. Now that it is obvious that he isn't filming nor editing his videos, and worse, approves this new quick cut style, with loud music that overwhelms the natural sounds of a farm, everything that was really good about his videos, that lot of other people like and enjoy, is gone.
I quit watching the Rhodes partly because of this. He used to have good content. Not anymore. It's so much better watching the Hollar Homestead, Sow the Land, Fit Farmer, Roots and Refuge. Plus, Justin keeps getting more and more animals. He should never keep more animals than he, himself, can tend without help from the children. He puts too much work on those kids. Between Justin working the kids like trojans, and Rebekah laying in bed or propped up on the couch, who is giving the kids their education? They work all the time and you never hear about school being part of their day. It's a sad situation for those kids being worked so hard all day long.
I was watching you work with the sheep pen and the trailer. I think if you would put the hinges on the other side of the door of the pen. It would make it so you could open them both and have a corral and then you can just shut the trailer door. I love your videos. And you've inspired me along with others to want to start my own Farm home business.

I am sure you are sick of hearing how Lilly should have a horse and this may not be the Time and how you know nothing about them or needs but she has learned just fine how to band a sheep ,she picks up one and carrying it ! The young lady is really something special and her hopes and dreams .I truly hope she is rewarded same as the young men as she certainly is capable of all the same work load as them . This young lady reining in a field or show is truly her own.
When I was a kid on the farm, we used to steer the sheep where we wanted them to go. You put one hand under their chin and with the other hand you grab their tail. Gentle pull up to go forward and side to side for direction, all the while holding under the chin. Worked great!! ❤ Only needed to do to the lead sheep, the rest would follow.
I feel your pain with moving I think we moved every 10 years and it gets easier because you keep down sizing. After that you learn not to hold onto so much it’s actually freeing, hang in there😊

Justin has never appeared to be big on preventive maintenance. Lucky could use a full overhaul, he never has spare parts on hand (hose repair kits, end replacements, tee connectors, y or multi gang splitters, ring clamps, extension cords, assorted screws, nuts and bolts, nails, etc.), he and the kids were cutting timber with dull saws, gardening tools like hoes, shovels, spades, trowels should be sharpened regularly too, so you aren't trying to force a blunt edge into soil, gravel, plant roots etc. Instead of making proper repairs he tend to "Jerry rig" and let it go. That's just how he rolls. More creative than practical. Jonah and Josiah both seem to have a more mechanical bent to them. What would be great to see is workshops for the homestead community on basic tool and equipment maintenance. With some basic knowledge the kids could run with it. A dealership might be willing to provide someone who could demo home maintenance on heavy equipment. Classes on maintaining and using hand tools, rechargeable battery stations, basics of plumbing and electrical connections, using power tools safely (saws, lathes, routers, grinders, drills, impact drivers etc.) would be invaluable as these things are all available for purchase with no training provided. With Justins' connections it could be done. It was so cool to watch when Ben Hollar taught all the boys to weld. Gave them a taste of it and reinforced the importance of safety, safety, safety.
I'm not caught up with your videos at all, but I'm wondering if you're planning on keeping the barn house aspect in the new design. If not, why? Was there any issues with having a barn under your home?

We have 6 chicken hens we've had for a year. We are getting 5 eggs a day. One hen has turned broodie. What should we do?
