    :) It's localized to the "Malaysian" market. Ideas/Creative direction was from a local Malaysian producer/director from Red Communications. We, at Splices edited these bumpers.
    Wouldn't it be nice if it was featured all over the world. Unfortunately, it was for Disney Malaysia or was it Asia :D

    These are very nice bumpers, despite that most of them, except the one with the little frogs, didn't have the Mickey head right. ^^; I wish the US bumpers did stuff like this. One could have burger patties, one could have pumpkins and leaf piles for Fall and Halloween, one could be ornaments for Christmas, stuff like that. ^^

    Yeah, kinda the Asian/Malaysian way of stuff! There's also Nyonya kuih (Nyonya cookies), Dim Sum and many others :)
    Selamat Hari Raya literally means Happy Days of Celebration. It marks the end of the Muslim fasting month, Ramadhan and the 1st day of Syawal or Muslim new year. That's where families come together and celebrate & rejoice.

    Ain't sure whether they (DC) made it international bumpers but it was produced/directed by a Malaysian director and edited by us :)
    Glad you guys liked it and thanks for commenting on the off centered IDs :) Unfortunately, it's all been approved and gone on air. If you noticed, it's very Asian, with Asian cookies, cooking, fruits, animals, etc

    Over in this region, Astro is our satellite pay-per-view provider :) I am sure Astra is also a brand name like Astro :)

    Cool to see typical Malaysian Disney Channel bumpers, with stuff like coconuts or rambutans
    By the way, what does "Selamat Hari Raya" (0:45) mean in Malaysian?!

    • @splicestv
      @splicestv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Its Eid Mubarak or the Muslim Syawal calendar after fasting for a month

      Selamat Hari Raya literally means “Day of Celebration". Its a Muslim celebration to mark the end of the fasting moth of Ramadhan. Other parts of the world, its known as Eid ul-Fitr
