- Have you ever wondered, how your G&G GP exhaust is produced? This video shows a couple of the steps in the process of creating your exhaust. All our exhausts are hand-made in Italy, according to high standards. Of course, we are always ready to answer all your questions!
We receive a lot of comments about the fact that no welding gloves are used. Our main goal was to show the process as well as we could, and the decision was made not to use gloves for once. Rest assured that our welders normally use protective gear. We thank you for your concern for our welders' health.

Watching this TIG welding is WAY to satisfying...
HaxoResc kyaw
I genuinely can't believe I just sat through six mins of an exhaust being made lol
I love the way he took a functional piece of equipment and turned it into a piece of art
I enjoyed watching this video. The welder is skilled and makes what he's doing look easy. I've tried welding myself during my engineering college days, I sucked at it.
that's bad ass awesome !
+Ichiban Moto 5/5 stickers? ;)
You have a great channel, greatly enjoyed watching your videos, awesome!
+GeGBike-EU yes, 5/5 Ichiban Moto stickers :) check your email - I sent you a message. I also added "gp exhaust" to my video to do list ;)

bellissimo video complimenti
Thanks to you, appreciated, thanks for watching :)
Thank you for sharing. I particularly like the use of the lathe and TIG torch holder to get consistent welds around the circumference of the tube.
Thank you for sharing! Very cool video. I enjoyed watching how you make such beautiful exhausts
Hand Made! Whoa differently want one now. Its like home made cooking. You can tell the difference by the care and control. To bad I will never make enough to buy one. Thanks for sharing.
+rhey simon You're welcome! They're not that expensive, take a look at www.GeGShop.nl for pricing. We don't charge VAT for export outside the EU, which saves a great amount. Register in the shop to see sales prices for export.
Hi Niclas, thanks for your compliments, much appreciated! Indeed, a GP pipe is a matter of taste. I prefer the Big Ovals, but as you say, the G&G GP is a work of art, our welders feel the same way and take great pride in providing a great product.
That is awesome. I love watching how stuff gets made. I would of totally thought it was all robotically made. Keep it up!
beautiful !
Thanks!
so is your profile picture :)
very nice piece of wrk. gud job
Thanks!
I have a whole new respect for these exhaust systems
Thanks!
Lot of work in that, worth every cent
I always purge thin stainless that's the correct way to weld it you do whatever you need to... Have a nice day
Depends if you want full penatration or not...this is a “boy racer Motorsport part” In the real world of Motorsport fabrication exhausts are back purged.
@@iiredeyeiiredeye1569 the material Is that thin that you surely have full penetration: the problem Is that without purge this nice exhaust Will rust like It Is made with mild steel
It's a little more complicated than that. To achieve full penetration you run the risk of the oxide build up on the inside coming back through to the surface thus contaminating the weld. To properly achieve full penetration you need to back purge. Then no oxides will build up inside and you can be sure that the weld is pure. Hope that helps
@@iiredeyeiiredeye1569 so you mean that as long as you don't contaminate the puddle, the oxide built in the internal part of the pipe Is not an issue? Won't It cause the pipe to rust internally anyway?
Trying to achieve full penetration to proper motorsports spec without the oxide creeping back through the weld is virtually impossible. That's why all high end tube welding...Motorsports/Aerospace is back purged. As for corrosion yes I guess there will be some locally around the welds, although I guess that it wouldn't travel far if you've used a decent grade like 316.
the weld is remarcable, what kind of TIG are you using?
so skilfull absolutely stunning workmanship i would love one of those on my 500 honda twin thanx for showing how its done
Good work Pielk! Everybody needs something special at all. And you do it!
Have you ever made a supermoto exhaust?
neat trick by using lathe machine for turning the muffler while welder's hand remain on resting plate (Y)
Not a lathe!
its a rotary weld positioner
fantastic work of art A1 video was excellent you guys deserve a medal in the detail work thats gone into building them, well done! respect to G&G EXHAUST.........
I just learnt so many fabricating techniques watching this that iv been trying to work out like rolling a the cone smooth thanks.
Well you've definitely got all the tools
Yes.. But don't have a safety..gloves especially
magnifique!
+Michel Creff Merci!
Excellent craftmanship
Totally cool watching this. I'd love having a job welding these types of things up. Been practicing at home with my everlast and hope to get a job welding.
Beautifull exhaust, high quality. Why most people comments for the gloves? The video is about the exhaust.....
+Oliver Gazo Very true, but we value the concern people have for our welder's health. Welding without gloves all the time is a real health hazard, but we did it only once, which doesn't hurt.
Might as well not have a mask either.
Welding with out gloves Can give you and servere “sunburn” you in directly contact with UV rays
that final wd40 touch allways works ahaah
craftsmanship is unreal! nothing beats hand made components like this,
hopefully one day my skills will be at this standard!
Thanks, much appreciated. Good luck and have fun with improving your skills :)
Love your work brother 👍😁
Does it hallow from inside?
Rohith Goud, it growls from the inside!
and the security?
Your a real artist sir..! Exceptional work. Thanks for sharing this video.
man this guys a pro! fantastic
so youre only fusing it with the arc?
+THUNDERBOLT Some parts, yes. Other parts you can see he's add filler metal.
Some parts, indeed. It gives it the finish that our customers like, and it's strong enough for these purposes. We add filler where it's needed, but for some welds it just looks better for the final product.
Man where's your gloves? xD
+channy381 Thanks for watching, and for your concern for our welder's health. As stated in the description: only for this video, our welders normally always wear proper gear.
Sure :D
Christian Hyldgaard, thanks for your comment. Please wait with your judgement until you know the facts. The welder in this video is the boss, he did this job because he doesn't want his employees to take this risk. You could've asked instead of passing judgement on someone or something you don't know everything about.
Christian Hyldgaard, that's a whole different point, and we agree with you there, but that has nothing to do with accusing the owner of misconduct towards his employees.
Christian Hyldgaard dude what is he welding with ? Or what is that ? Just really curious !
THIS guy is a top-notch welder!!!! I can tell, I've been doing it for over 20 years. This guy is REALLY good. I bet his boss doesn't pay him what he should...
This cat is worth his weight in gold. A true craftsman!
Artist..
Thanks!
4:24?...i think it's good enough for most people cause they judge tig welding by looks of discoloration, but i think this really could be done far better, its not your best welder i guess...i was surprised that he is using 2T instead of 4T and no downslope at the end of weld for SS? hence the crate at the end of weld...also weld is underfill and getting to/is black color which in SS means: burned and its loosing characteristics of SS- max acceptable color of weld would be dark purple here
+Robert Gadus Looks like 1mm filament rod, 1.6 woud've done the job much better.
yeah he shoulda used a normal sized rod instead of that piano string
I've just began venturing into the world of TIG welding and metal work. Amazing and beautiful. Makes welding aluminum look easy... and it most certainly is not. Nice video, Thanks for sharing. Awesome video and beautiful product.
Thank you!
Uma obra de arte para ouvir um ronco tao bonito .
Hmmmmm I have welded a lot of Stainless pipes and was shocked to see NO PURGE
bill calicura I agree even in my home hobby workshop I use purging the inside of the pipe....
bill calicura At the same time purge is usually used for medical and food quality. this is simply spewing out exhaust.
Turbo Lover Why so?
I'm a we3lder in the food and drinc industriy and we use everytime purge for our pipes but i think is a better qualyty to use it on the exhaust too
@Swampy ahhh okay thank you :)
Shame it's not purged.
Simon Lindner shame he didn’t use gloves.
Beautifully made. Great work!
Man how cool this was done handmade and very nice to see the process happening pretty cool to be mechanical engineer and I build many things like automotive and enjoyed seeing so congratulations and thank you!
If he purged the pipe it would give him a much better weld inside an out an make the exhaust double it life.
A true craftsman. Well done sir.
Congrats magnific work allmost masterpieces!!!
@Pielk there's nothing like a beautifully-welded piece of art!
really enjoyed watching this video . great to see how it's done .
+Robert Descatoires Thanks for watching, great to hear you enjoyed it!
cara vc é um artista !! parabéns
Thanks! We'll keep up the good working, aiming at full customer satisfaction.
that's pure art
Haha I wouldn't kill anyone over it ;) Thanks for the compliments, we are glad you like what you see, we take great pride in our products. We currently do not have a USA importer, but we can ship it to you directly, no problem. Total price including shipping is $ 308,- and it is shipped with a tracking code, so you can always check the status of your package.
Thanks! It's shaped that way to make sure that the R6 produces a lot of noise, while maintaining the pre-muffler. However, we also have a decat pipe for this bike available, as well as a set of front pipes without cat.
at first I thought you guys where building a 2 stroke expansion chamber... on a 4-stroke, and I almost went WTF!!! Some seriously awesome fab-work there.
Brilliant craftsmanship. I don't think they would suit my bike but if I had an R6 I'd be ordering one right now.
Thanks! What bike do you ride?
GeGBike-EU
I have a KTM 990 SMR 2011.
Super Dave Tard Indeed, we don't have anything for KTM yet, that's still on the To Do list. Sorry mate :(
i like the jig used for getting a perfect weld around the pipes aswell
Hi Dingle, it's basically fuse welding. For an extra neat weld, we simply fuse the two parts together. Adding a filler potentially gives small differences in material thickness, where this method ensures minimal difference in wall thickness.
For high strength welding joints a filler is necessary, but these joints hardly take any load at all, so the best aesthetical solution is chosen.
Hi RVColonelli, it's a TIG-welder, used to weld stainless steel here.
Thanks, appreciated. We're happy you enjoyed our video.
it depends on the type of weld (full welding or simply fusing together), the fused lines look much cleaner than the 'regular welding lines'. The pipe has to cope with little forces, so there is no need to have really strong welds, our exhaust are more than strong enough to stay in one piece and aesthetics are more important
hebben jullie ook zo'n uitlaat voor op een ZX10R van 2004? zie m niet staan op jullie site of past een universele ook?
nice welting jobs!!! i never heard about G&G exhaust sytems. THX for the video i'll check out your offers. Greetings from germany
Omg I need one.. Good job
ottime marmitte! io l ho presa per il mio nexus 500 e devo dire che va davvero bene!!
Its not about cancer its about how your work good and beautiful
+Alejandro Longakit Thanks for watching! Well, we take great care for our welders and we do everything to prevent cancer, but this one-time welding to show the process doesn't pose a threat.
that is carzy cool man you did a dam good job
Great skill. I hope I can get that good and make some exhausts with my everlast tig welder.
Good job,very nice weld.
Hi Hebbe1, thanks for your reaction, we hear that comment a lot, but rest assured, that our welders normally use gloves. This video only shows welding without gloves, to show the process as best as we can. Normally, welding gloves are used, but not in this sample. After the first takes of this video, we found that the gloves blocked the view on the parts too much, and for once the welding was done without gloves. Thanks for your concern.
I was going to say, "what's that smell" lol.
Beautiful work however !
Thank you, glad you appreciate it!
Beautiful work bro!
Je suis soudeur, et je dit chapeau, franchement c'est du superbe boulot.
Love the background music!!
great job!! well done.
One word... ART!
This has to be the best 6 minutes on TH-cam.
Congratulations for your job
Great job !
Dit is gewoon prachtig, puur vakmanschap! Dit is kwaliteit :)
Great insight!
I actually just did my own and came out ok nothing perfect like this guy but practice leads to perfection I guess, Im certainly going to make couple more, I just wish I had a tig machine but like I said it came out ok for my skills and using a samll Lincoln hd pak. :)
@IsmaelAdame true indeed, thank you for the addition!
that is just beautiful
wow this really makes me want to learn how to weld
THX from that awesome video!
Eure Spache ist einfach der Hammer! :D
Great skills! I keep coming to this vid. What is the thickness of the stainless sheet? And what amp do you set for tack welds and the final welding? If i may ask.
Beautiful perfect line 😍
That would be my dream job! Amazing video!
gran bel video...bravo il saldatore!!
thanks! It's TIG and MIG welding. TIG for the lines in sight, MIG for the dB-killer and such.
Great video. you make a really nice product
Please make that for the ER6 ... it is fantastic looking
p.s. great work! I always thought all these exhaust systems are build fully automatic by robots.. I am very impressed
beautiful welds
I love your jobs ! very cool man
C'est juste magnifique !!!!
I had on my Yamaha BT1100 Bulldog G&G Exhausts. Good sound, good workmanship and very fair price. I would buy G&G Exhausts again.
Thanks!
