You're quickly becoming my favourite TH-camr for these draft/scouting videos. Always smart analysis, you don't overhype nor underhype. Just very easy to absorb and I appreciate the insight!
Great analysis!!! I would disagree re: Habs selecting more "D". They have Hutson, Reinbacher, Mailleux, plus the young corps already playing. They don't need another "D". They don't need "projects" either. Habs need two things: 1. Forwards....either "C" or "W". 2. "G"...another Carey Price would be nice, eh! They should take Demidov (if available) then Linstrom, then Iginla.
Another interesting Video. So many to choose from, Lindstrom will be hard to pass up for sure and I don't think they could go wrong with Iggy. I at #5 I would steer clear of any player that has questionable work ethic for sure
Montreal may draft Sennecke only if Lindstrom and Demidov are already gone. Lots of people also want Iginla which I see as a conservative pick...we will see !!!
Zeev Buium or Levshunov or Iginla would be fantastic for Mtl ....but Zeeeeeeeeeeeev Buiiiiiiiiiiiiium scooooooooooooores !!!!!!!!! OMG! just imagine ; the beBell Centre will blow up!
Good breakdown...I don't think Catton fits what they're looking for with Caufield already in the top 6 and Lane Hutson destined for top 4 D. Think the only guy under 6 feet they'd take is Demidov....either him, Lindstrom or Iginla I feel would be great picks. Agree that Eiserman if he slides into the teens is going to make some GM's look bad down the line.
My gut tells me Hughes will take Zeev Buium with that 5th pick. And Habs fans will go nuts, making silly predictions, like they did with Slaf. If you are a Habs fan, you don't have to worry because Hughes and his team know their shit.
The problem with Montreal picking at 5th the last 2 drafts is you only get to draft what is left on the board. The elite talent is already gone. If Levshunov is taken 2nd by Chicago, then Lindstrom likely going 3rd and Demidov 4th. So Iginla might be what if left for them unless they go for a defenseman...we will see !!!
Zegras is $5.75m while Catton, Lindstrom or Sennecke is $1m for next 3 years. If it doesn't work out it's our judgement. lets say we have pick 5 + 26 and Matheson 30 year old $4.5m and 3 years down the road and value NOW! D is strong so we can offer bait so we can get at least 2 of Catton, Lindstrom, or Sennecke. balanced lineup- Suzuki, Caulfield, Catton, Dach, Slaf, and Mesar, Newhook, Roy, Lindstrom, and the best 4th line in decades of Beck, Evans and Armia. They can score and shut down the best!
Not really. Kotkaniemi was certainly a questionable pick. Reinbacher was a surprise as well. Slafkovsky makes sense but that was an interesting situation rather than a no brainer like Bedard or Celebrini. Red Wings are another team that like to do the same thing (reaching for less well-known European players), but: A)That's Yzerman and the fans have trust in him. B)Once he hits one with Seider, people just keeps their mouth shut.

Catton's lack of compete is why he's not even on Hughes' list of possibles. NFW.
Hey what about Reinbacker!?

I like your analysis about Lindstrom and Iginla. But i replace Catton with either Parekh or Buium.

Matheson, Mailloux, Joshua Roy and a 3rd-rd pick for Utah's 6th overall!
Risers and fallers...my definitions are the exact opposite of yours. Anyhow, good vid. 👍
Sennekee was injured for the whole series against London???? Not sure if you meant a different series but he didn't play a minute in that one.
Yep, you are correct. Just realizing I slipped up bad on that one! I definitely meant the Ottawa or North Bay Series! Nice Catch!
@@Newwavehockey Yeah sounded maybe like north bay cause they lost three straight in that to go to a game 7 but he played great in all those games.
The drama has nothing to do with the team and everything to do with their fans.

Eisermann would be a reach imo
And you guys have Caufield and Slaf already. Not sure if habs still need another goal scorer.
