You guys are the best nomad couple ever. Immigration lady here didn't make clear about immigration through company formation by non eu or non us citizens. No information about how much investment will be needed, tax issues etc.
Again in playlists of Planet Kraków you will find interview with Krakspire under tilte : Relocating to Poland. Everyone has a slightly different situation and this residency was done for Ged -based on work residency in Poland. It was intresting as it was in between Brexit time for the UK citizen .It was fascinating meeting workers there telling us about their job. It also shows how knowlagable Krakspire is dealing with immigration matters adjusting to personal situation.
@@WarrenJulieTravel yes Ged is brilliant....so much expierience in Krakòw....getting residency, house viewing and buying. Its such complex law in 🇵🇱 but he met few people .....to help....from the accountont to translater to the vet for .3 cats....pet food...tooo a best fish preapared on the brilliant market in English style in Poland.
Hello, I am in the same situation as you are. As I understand after ONE YEAR of permanent residency b/c of ancestry you can apply for citizenship, you must pass at least the level B1 of the Polish Language exam though. Please double check on that brokowski ;) I've researched this quite a bit and will be heading to Poland to learn Polish b/c of this in October, peace from Thailand.
I’m under the understanding I can apply after three years. Regarding language, Sylwia didn’t mention it, however we intend to take the language classes if we are able to get the permanent residency approved.
@@WarrenJulieTravel HI, please watch this video, he is a lawyer at 7:33 he mentions "one year" for guys like us. I have contacted him and used his services, very good info he gave me. th-cam.com/video/2FxPKcJWVUQ/w-d-xo.html
@@WarrenJulieTravel Hi, from all of the research I have done, basically if you get a permanent residency by descent, it is equal to if you had the "Karta Polaka" and went to Poland. If you already had the "Karta Polaka" and went to Poland and intend to settle there, you submit it and then get permanent residency, then after one year you can apply for citizenship if you have passed B1 Polish exam. That is my understanding at least, they basically fast track it for those of Polish ancestry.
six or seven great grandparents who emigrated in 19th cent to US but don’t qualify. my grandmothers both spoke Polish fluently. i will do genealogy and see if i can find their towns. grandmother 2nd husband was a Mitchkevitch. cant get more Polish than that
I wish you luck. The permanent residency and citizenship applications did not work for us. It's now necessary to apply from your country of residence for citizenship and therefore we have decided to put this on hold for now.
Thank you Warren and Julie for your beneficial content. I really love your channel and I wish you a wonderful, safe and joyful life. Also, I was wondering if you guys plan to visit Portugal and make some video regarding that.
Both of my parents were born in Poland, but they are dead now and I have no documents of any kind as things were destroyed in the war. Isn't the process convoluted, expensive, and takes a long time? As for the bilateral agreement situation, where does someone find a copy of this, as many border control people are unaware of this agreement. I am so weary of having to leave Poland after 89 days and to stay away for 90 days, especially getting older. So, I need proof of this bilateral agreement so as not to be hassled at the borders. Thank you!
I'd strongly encourage you to contact our genealogist to help track down your families missing information, as well as our attorney Sylwia to assist with starting your residency application. Sylwia can also provide the detailed information on the bilateral agreement to you. The cost estimate including genealogy ($420) and attorney fees, and applications look to be totaling around $1,500, I don't have the cost for translation services yet however.
Wow! Found your videos completely by accident. I'm a US citizen and very interested in spending extended time in Poland and this was extremely helpful regarding the bilat agreement. My father's side ancestry is from Poland. I have one set of great-grandparents from Poland, but left to the US prior to 1920. I thought this eliminated the possibility for me to try for permanent residency. All I have are my grandparents names and a 23&Me test. I guess when I come for a visit next Spring, I could see if any documents can be found? I would still be interested in a language course either way. Thank you so much for this. I need to check out your other videos!
Good video. Thank you. My father was Polish and I am looking into getting Polish citizenship. I am curious why you are going for residency rather than dual citizenship? I may look into the company that you used to look into this for me after your recommendation. Thanks again😊
I could go for citizenship if it was a parent not a grandparent or great grandparents that I'm basing my ancestry on in Poland. After 3 years of permanent residency, I will be eligible to apply for citizenship.
@@WarrenJulieTravel Thank you for the explanation. I am just starting to investigate my father's History with the hope of one day getting citizenship. I wish you well on your journey wherever it takes you.😊🖐️
@@WarrenJulieTravel Hi, can you tell me the experience you had with your situation? My situation seems similar to yours. My mother is 100% Polish but born in the US. My grandparents lived in Poland and moved to US and great grandparents lived in Poland they’re whole life. I would hate to spend the amount of work and time you spent and find out it’s not very probable to get a duel citizenship with such a ancestry. Thanks in advance
Hi, may I ask for migrating families with young school-aged children, can they be homeschooled using a foreign education system or must they be enrolled in a Polish school?
Hi brother. Please vist my country in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰. This is very beautiful country and very kind people in my country brother. Beach 🏝 mountain 🏔 water fall animal 🦔 🏄♀️.
Thank you for the suggestion of Sri lanka, we will be staying in Europe for the time being. Having our dogs makes our travel a little more limited. We prefer not to travel by plane.
