I went from Cooper AT3’s to Maxis Razor and have been very impressed.Relatively quiet on the tar and good in the mud too. I did aCSR tip with them last season and was super impressed with how they went on the dunes. We had used specialist sand tyres In the past and these performed almost as well . No punctures too.
I just ordered a set of razrs for my subaru crosstrek I can't wait for them to come in, I've been eyeing them for months almost a year! I have a dedicated snow set but I'm more liable to swap to these and sell the 1 year old snow shoes :)
Here in Canada, I had the Yokohama Geolander A/T GO 15 installed on my 2004 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. The Yokohama was an exceptionally nice looking tire, good on the highway with very little road noise even though it has a sort of aggressive tread pattern, no problem with the balancing, decent ride for a strong tire and with the 3 mountain peak designation it performed satisfactory in the snow. I sold the Jeep and bought a 2020 Ford Ranger XLT which came with the Dueler tires and when it comes time for new tires on the Ranger I will be having the same brand of Yokohama's installed on it as I had on the Wrangler.
I've bought Geolander X-AT tires twice, once as 33inch and then again when upgrading to 35inch. They are absolutely great. On road they are super quiet and wear very well. In mud/off road, when aired down they have surprisingly good grip due to the outer tread/sidewall which comes into play. It's a very well thought out design.
Great feedback mate! Great to hear you like the X-AT. If you're keen, make sure you leave a review for them on www.tyrereview.com.au, as then it'll be in the database to inform others forever more, plus you'll go in the running to win a fuel card 🤘
Falken AT3W has been outstanding. I am in the Pacific Northwest, USA and am on my second set. They do well off-roading in everything except deep mud. Great road manners and good in wet, which is most of the time around here.
I am glad that you have had good luck with your Falkens because I seem to be one of the few who have not. Mine are needing replacing at 31,000 and I have rotated them every 5,000 miles. They also have dry rot and are cupping badly lately. I did love them for the first 20,000 miles (quiet and excellent on snow) but I expect more than 30,000 miles out of a set of tires that stay on paved roads. I am torn what to replace them with though. Everything seems to have pro's and con's.
I am on my 2nd set of falken wildpeck at3w low road noise they good in the mud rocks and they don't sleep on wet bitumen and there good in the dry got them on a Mazda bt 50 I think they are a good make and brand of tire I will buy them again
I'm still loving my Maxxis Razr at811 tires. Quiet and great driving experience on the road. Excellent performance in dirt, mud, gravel, rocks, and wet pavement driving. Only thing I haven't tested them in is the snow. Anxious to get some snow this winter, can't wait to take them out and play! I'd definitely buy them again.
That's awesome feedback Jesse! If you're keen, make sure you leave a review for them on www.tyrereview.com.au, as then it'll be in the database to inform others forever more, plus you'll go in the running to win a fuel card 🤘
@@Bananahammock88 I have, and they've done excellent. Ice is ice, and you need to slow down of course. Snow on the other hand they gobble it right up. I drove through snow on and offroad and felt extremely in control. Great grip. I plan on getting these tires again when they finally wear down.
Having Falcon AT3W Wildpeaks mounted on my 2020 Ram 1500 4x4 in a couple days. I've watched countless reviews on the A/T tires. Best price I got was $271 per tire mounted and balanced. We had Falcon all seasons on our car and they were really good. Hoping these all terrains will live up to my expectations on the truck.
Ok, here are 4 reviews. 2 of which include tires on this video's list and the other 2 are not present for various and expected reason. First one and my hands down favorite tire to date...BFG KO2's. Had a set of these on a lifted (3") 2018 Toyota 4Runner setup for overlanding here in the states. Tires ran smooth although a bit loud (not unexpected). While on the road, they stuck the corners better than just about anything I've had before. As a daily driver, I never worried about my tires. Off road, they lived up to their reputation. I do not do a lot of driving thru mud, but I do spend a lot of time on a beach dealing with some soft sand and some rock crawling when i get a chance. A few years ago, I spent 3 long weekends trying to get the 4Runner stuck in some sand at the beach because I wanted to play with Toyota's Crawl Control. Needless to say, I never got a chance to try that feature out. Still the cream of the crop when it comes to tires in my opinion. An excellent tire that I would rate 5 stars if given the chance. Second, and this is going to be a bit of an odd one, is the Firestone Destination XT. Not really known or at least not really talked about much, but this is a solid tire that has served me well. I have it on my 2011 Tundra (yep...Toyota fan), with about 35k miles on the tires and the tread still looks new (the truck doesn't look so new tho...it has just over 200k miles on it now). Granted I don't do much off road with it as this truck is more of a work truck with the occasional trip off the pavement, but it has held up well. I consider it a work tire first and a play tire second. Here, I would give it 4 stars. Third and Fourth are both Nitto tires. I put a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers on my 2011 Tundra some years ago. Off road (the beach and the occasional field activities here, but never chanced it with rock crawling) was ok and it gave a decent bit of bite on the terrain. On the highway/roads, these tires picked up every screw, nail, piece of metal, and any other junk that they could find. I replaced these tires around 16k miles after each one of them had been patched at least 2 times. In fact, I replaced them when the tire shop I use refused to patch one of the tires for the 4th time. Yes, the Nitto tires look good, a bit aggressive, but the rubber is soft and doesn't stand up to the daily drive that I was using them for mostly. I would give the Terra Grapplers 0 stars if that is an option. If not an option, then a single, lonely star. Finally, the fourth set is (yes I still have them unfortunately) the Nitto Ridge Grapplers. These are currently installed on my 2021 Tundra with 18k miles on them. And the truck has 18k miles on it because the tires came with the truck from the Toyota factory. I was not happy and requested Toyota swap them out with something I would agree on, but they were trying to charge me dealer prices for 4 brand new tires (truck came off the trailer to the dealer lot and had all of 2.8 miles total on it). Either way, I wasn't going to drop another $2,800 for tires at that time. I probably should have. I had the first flat at 7k miles (rear passenger) and the second flat at just over 15k miles (front driver). I believe the rubber on these is actually softer than the Terra Grapplers I previously had on the 2011 Tundra. I am currently trying to replace these with either some KO2s or maybe the MT Baja Boss, however, finding a set is proving difficult (the size and the general demand for either of these right now is making me wait a bit). Like the Terra Grappler above, I would give the Ridge Grapplers 0 stars if it is an option. If it isn't an option, then I will refuse to rate them. They are just plain horrible. Yes, I know I am leaving you a huge reply, but I wanted to give you some good feedback on the tires. Also, I would like to say that I have only seen 2 of your videos to this point, but I am going to check on some more later tonight. You did a good presentation on the details of the tires (even though I did cringe every time you touched or talked about one of the Nitto tires, LOL). Just a good video that actually has something that makes sense for a change. Keep up the good work. Cheers!
I have a ram 3500 that i hook up with a 32 ft gooseneck trailer that is mostly loaded with heavy loads, i recently replaced my old tires with the ko2s, been driving on them for about 3 months now and i couldnt ask for better tires, absolutely great and smooth drive and so stable and solid. Thank you for the great video, it's really helpful to learn what tires brands are people's fav.
I went from Falken wildpeaks to KO2s and now nitto ridge grapplers. The Falkens were great until 30k miles… then drastically fell off. The KO2s were all round pretty good. The nitto ridge grapplers were and are my favorite so far. Their on road performance is much better than the wildpeaks and KO2s. I don’t live in snowy or Icey weather ares, so I can’t comment on snow performance. But nitto is my top pick
I've had a good experience with the ko2 in the last months with everything including road noise.. except wet. Definitely not a fan of really wet or slushy roads.
Doing a great service for Australians "Tyre Review". Someone commented with regards not testing dueler AT, and you replied with a reason basically out of your control. I think your many followers on this channel could be made aware of the difficulties you face when gathering groups of tyres to review when every manufacture doesn't want to participate for varying reasons without naming them. It should be known you do your very best to bring the most current and broad information you can including nose measurements. A personal thanks to all the team.
We run the Geolander X-ATs on our Isuzu MUX, they're well priced, aggressive enough for most things off road, quiet on road and have been durable so far. 2 thumbs up from me 👍 👍
I am on my 2nd set of the Yokohama Geolandar X-A/T 37x13.50x17. These tires are not as popular here in the states. My 1st set went 53k miles. I sold them to another fellow who is getting about another 5-10k miles out of them. I have pulled these through a lot of mud and rock. We just got back from Moab and Colorado. We did Imogen Pass and Ophir Pass. Just look through a few of my videos. Truly a great tire!
I have the Toyo Open Country AT3 on a Lancruiser 100 series. I was going to go the Nitto Ridge Grappler, but was told they are slippery in the wet, so i asked a few mates and they made the same comment. I changed out the Goodrich KO2. IMHO the Toyo AT3 are better than the KO2 by far, I have done 25K KM on the Toyo and hardly any wear at all, Toyo say 65,000 mile warranty on the AT3. It poured with rain awhile back and with the AT3 good feel back, so felt confident with them. I would get the AT3 again just have to wait about 100,000 km.
@@thesickening0169 I was going to go the Ridge Grappler, but heard they can be a bit slippery in the wet, The KO2 did not wear that well. The Toyo AT3 is very good in the wet, quiet, wears very well, so yeah the AT3 in my experience is better than the KO2 in everyway.

From experience the Falken ones are just an excellent all around tyre/tire. I have a set on my SUV and they’ve more than outlasted their wear rating. A odd difference is I live in the US and mine are manufactured here. They have a 3 ply sidewall. They have a 50,000 mile/80,000 kilometer tread wear warranty and I’ve put at least 45,000 miles/73,000 kilometers on them and still have over half of tread left. Driving conditions have varied. 80% pavement, the rest off road. Trails, gravel, sand, and mud/dirt.
I have Falkens and have disappointed with the tread wear on them. Mine are basically worn out at 31,000 miles. They have been very good other than that. I rotated them every 5,000 and never take them truly off-roading. I do drive in snow and they are great in that. I have loved them except for the treadwear and they do pick up nails easily. I am not sure what to buy next time though. I was thinking KO2's but have read too many horror stories about their wet traction. I may give Falkens another chance after all. I love how quiet they are, great in snow and very good in wet.
@@jerryjohnson9531 where are you located and where were they manufactured? I really want to know as I have thought to get other type? All I can say is the set I have are amazing! Yes they are US made but a choice I find comparable to Yokohama!
What Im finding is on a HD truck like my 2015 F350 Powerstroke and 2020 F250 7.3 that they have a tendency to go through tires faster than my 1/2 tons. I have used the Toyo AT 2 and Nitto Terra grapplers and preferred the Toyo only cause they wore better and felt slightly stiffer on the sidewalls. Both great tires. I then went to the Nitto Ridge Grappler..loved this tire, stiffer sidewalls and rode well if pressures were deflated.. 50F 46R...awesome tire but when approaching 30k miles they started to get a little loud for my likeing on the 7.3 gasser, which is my daily driver. I then tried the Yoko X-AT, another great hybrid tire and I rate it equal to the Ridge grappler. I just put on the Falkens...wanted to go back to an AT tire vs A Hybrid and I feel to date this is the quietest tire that I have owned that still looks somewhat aggressive and really behaves excellent in the soft mud when towing my trailers into a jobsite and really good in the rain, better than any tire I have owned, even better than my BFG's. The sidewalls are almost as stiff as the Hybrids but they feel lighter on their feet. There will always be a compromise. I have them aired down 53F 48R and will play with that some. My reviews are based on a 3" level from Carli which includes progressive springs and their shock package with 37 12.5 20's on a 9" wheel. So to date the Falkins are my favorite for do all hwy driving and as a partial on the trail/mud. They clean out quickly, very quiet and balance well.
Hey mate, that's great frank feedback, thanks! Excellent that you're working your way through the different brands and back and forth between the 2 ply and 3 ply tyres. The Falkens are kind of 2.5 ply sidewall with a funny turn up, so that's probably why you're seeing them as stiff. The Terra Grapplers usually review much worse than the AT2s, which is interesting. If you're heading down the middle of the road AT route next time, maybe consider the Pirelli Scorpion AT+, as they might suit what you're after... not sure if they come in a 37" though 😅
Have tried BF Goodridge AllTerrain twice but this time they have priced themselves out of ‘my market’ o I have a set of Maxxis Raza which I’m very happy with to date. No noticeable difference between brands after 15000 klms
Had the Wildpeaks last time. Went with the Scirpion Plus this time (cheaper) Scorpions are really great off road but I think I liked the Wildpeaks more...especially for highway driving.
Awesome review. Very interesting stats by the reviewers. Obviously some great product being manufactured by these companies today. Sounds to me like any of the 10 tyres on the review would be a good choice depending on use and terrain. 👍🍺
You're pretty much spot on Darren, and even most of them in the next 10 too. I think the tech and new tyres turned out in the last five years has really turned it up a notch. Thanks for tuning in!
The Falcon AT3W Wildpeaks - have become quite popular here in the states - they seem to handle the slippery wet tarmac & a mild build up of snow & ice quite well (When New) - possibly after they wear down below the 1/2 way mark - their performance might possibly drop quite abit. (The Mickey Thompson - Baja Boss) has also become a growing product with stellar reviews. (United States - 73801).
Just stumbled onto your channel... Excellent content and greetings from. Northern Ireland. I'm in the market for new tyres for my Landcruiser. I've ran two sets of BFG AT KO2 and one set of BFG MT in the older design in the past. I love the AT but wasn't so keen on the MT as to noisy and wet grip not great. I've just ordered another set of BFG AT KO2 but had to check out the competition before I did so... Many thanks again
Running RAZR 811 on my 2019 Rav4 Adventure. Excellent on seal wet or dry. On gravel and off road mud and rock first class. Shade noisier than a normal road tyre but

Great video guys! Loving all your content! I was looking at ditching my KO2’s on my current raptor to something a bit better on the road. I don’t want to lose profile which I’d have to do if I went a HT, so was thinking of going the G015 or Cooper AT3 LTX, only thing I’ve struggled to find info on is a few articles stating the G015 actually has greater rolling resistance and worse fuel economy then my KO2’s
Definitely a great video. Well put together on actual facts comparison. I would also like to see what you guys could do with a tire spec comparison of AT and MT tires. Thank you for such a great video.
Hey Hemi, sounds like a good idea. I'm trying to work out something for the website that'll let us do this kinda thing, which will make it easier to do a video on it. Watch this space!
More than a year later on my response below and 32500 miles logged on these Falkin 37 12.5 x 20's. Best all-around tire I have owned. I will get at least another 10k-15k miles out of them and they are still relatively quiet. Come Jan/Feb I will be needing another set of Rubber so if you get the chance please review the KO3. Thank You Jeff

Recently replaced a 5yr old set of BRIDGESTONE DUELER AT 697 with the same as I found they were good in the wet and dry conditions on dirt and tar roads as well as mud
I bought a set of the Coopers AT3. And I've been happy with what the tire can do. Super quiet on the road. LIGHT, so my 2022 4Runner remained feeling peppy as as stock (even after I went up to a 285/70R17). BUT I have noticed people tend to think it's a stock size tire, because it looks small for a 285. And now looking at it side by side with all other 9 tires, I am wondering if that's the case. Were all of these tires the same size? I have read on forums that not all tires are made to the same dimensions, despite being the same size model. A comparison of this would be greatly appreciated
Got the pirelli at plus, really happy with them. Best at tyre I’ve had that holds in the wet on the bitumen. Currently looking at the geolander at or repurchase the pirelli. Awesome vid

thanks. keep in mind that one bad / unfavourable review of the Geolandar would send it a long way down that list compared to the Falken. Hard to consider Geolandar until there are more reviews.
Absolutely! The Pirelli Scorpion AT Plus really does offer a fantastic balance of performance across various terrains. It's great to hear you’re enjoying it!

Why did you leave out the Yokohama Geolandar AT G015? I'm looking at these next over all the other tyres you have there, accounting for the fact I currently run the Pirelli Scorpion AT Plus
Hey mate, it's more that this was a set of example tyres, rather than an exhaustive run through, as then I would have been there all day 😅 I'd be keen to hear your thoughts on the G015 after running the Pirellis 👍

Been driving on various AT tyres for about 30 years now. By far the best AT tyre I have had are the Maxxis RAZRs but keen to see what the Toyo AT3s are like when they do arrive in Australia.
I think we need to compare the dueler AT vs these…like to see how that sits in the pack…surely beats most in comfort…also, comfort vs off road is a good comparison as most are after both.
I'd like to see where they rank, too. Unfortunately Bridgestone has chosen not to participate in our site at this stage (too many platforms for them to monitor is their key reason), but they might jump on soon 👍
@@TyreReviewVideos actually, funny, I ended up going for the Maxxis AT 811 and loving them, after finding out they are meant to be comfortable for a 3ply sidewall tyre. And guess what, they are, and also fantastic in wet. Good off road (as expected) and shines over little bumps for some reason that silicone rim edge works well I guess. Great soft rubber, I don’t expect 100K kms out of them, 50K kms is enough for me per set. (Or change every 2-3 years, always spend on tyres for my cars as they are the only contact between you and the road) thanks for your reply and for the content provided, great info.
How about GO15? They have been great for me on my BT50 and I'm on my second set (both ver1 and ver2 tyres). They are as quiet as OEM and pretty good on wet roads. I will get them on my Y62 as well when the factory tyres wear out. I reckon they don't get the popularity votes because most people want to have the aggressive "look" even though they don't use them as much as these tyres are designed for. I choose the GO15s because it's the less aggressive type, I prefer quietness and comfort. Something that is more robust than oem tyres. GO16 has the "look" but I'm worried of how loud and harsh it would be with those aggressive tyre patterns and 3 ply wall compared to GO15s.
honestly the best i try in 20 years and i still always choose, are general grabber, last AT3 overmatch the ko2 in al situation. Nitto are not even imported in EU so i don't know
I have a set of Toyo Open Country AT3 tires in 31 inch in my LWB 1993 pajero. From what I've researched the 3 is much quieter than the 2 and I have to say the tires are pretty quiet. Can't really hear them unless I'm at highway speeds with the windows down. Hopefully they make their way down under.

I really enjoyed your presentation. I drive a 2017 VOLVO XC60 with AWD. my Volvo has 255/45/20 summer tires. I recently ordered Faulkner Wildtrack a/t 245/50/20 and wondered if they’ll fit ok despite how grippy the tread looks vs the summer tires on the Volvo now
I love the traction I get with the Ko2. Off road, mud, snow, wet is ok. But my issue is they are so soft they wear so quickly. I have maybe 20,000 on them and they are at 6/32. They get rotated every oil change. 5,000 miles, they are a load range e on a f250. They just wear extremely quickly.
I will now only use LT rated tyres. Secret is do the chalk test and find correct air pressure. 40 psi on say a Triton is probably way too high and will result in weird wear.
Enjoyed the video but it looks like Falken Wild Peak AT3W should be #1 based on # of reviews & should be weighted heavier plus tied for #1 on buy again at 91%! I'm looking to buy these soon but they only have a 2 ply side wall however one note below said 3 ply in LT? Razr AT811 should be the 2nd pick with 84 reviews with 3 ply wall. I just put on 64k my Michelin LTX M/S P235/70R16T SUV as I take my tires to the end but factory stock made 70k with easy. Also LTX had to much slippage in CT, USA in the winter. My best winter tire was in the 90's on a small work pickup they were Yokahoma's! They got me home in a 2' blizzard with no plowing with state roads were closed for 4 days. I thought I was motorboating all the way home for 10 hours. Funny now but not then.
Hey mate, good feedback, and well done for looking into it more deeply! Yeah, I'm certainly reserving the right to change how we rank tyres, as it's relatively straight forward at the moment. The AT3W isn't a full 3ply sidewall tyre, it has a funky "turnup" which means that the second ply actually provides a third layer in part of the sidewall 👍
I’ve had KO2,s on several Defenders and now have them on my Hilux but they are now bloody expensive I paid £750 fitted 2 years ago now £1000 fitted. Good job they last ! They do generate a bit of noise as they wear and the back end breaks away in the wet with no load but overall happy with them, never had a puncture in 250,000 miles. Would I buy them again ? Probably but may look around. 👍🏻🇬🇧
What would you choose between the pirelli scorpion at plus and the cooper discoverer at3 LT? Tires would be going on a F150 work truck. I live in Vancouver so wet and snow traction is a main priority. Only "off roading" would be on unpaved sometimes muddy construction sites.
Crazy. Here in the USA , it’s ridge grapplers #1 and than you see some toyo rt, bfg ko2, and the cheap people buy the wild peaks. The new tire on the block that is awesome is the micky Thompson Baja boss at. I just had them put on my f350 dually . Smooth , quiet, nothing bad to say at all
The wild peaks aren’t cheap where I’m at! I heard they used to be cheap but I’m seeing them at $311 each for my size range; I went with cooper at3 Lt’s at about $290 each. So far so good.
I reckon one issue is that we can't actually get many RGs down here at the moment, cos you guys are buying them all!! It's not too far off what I would assume most people out of a certain set of driver type are buying, but this is interesting, as it's what a wiiiide variety of people reckon, all distilled down to 10 tyre choices 👍
I really dig all of your reviews… but I can’t stand it when someone says “It’s a three ply sidewall tire” as if that applies to EVERY size it comes in. You can get the X-AT, KO2, Ridge Grappler, Razr, Falken, and several others in both 2 ply and 3 ply construction. Also, 3 Ply tires being LT tires, will almost always have 3/32 more tread depth, which visually make them appear way more aggressive. But the metric sizes, the X-AT for example, often COMPLETELY change the tread and sidewall patterns to accommodate. I feel that is important for people to realize. Anyways.. cheers!
I'm shocked the Goodyear Duramax didn't make the Cut. They look a Great AT with some MT Characteristics. I was considering them before I actually bought Geolander G003 MT Which I have been shocked how Awesome they are, without Airing down.
Hey mate, I just didn't happen to have an example in the warehouse. This was more an example set of tyres, rather than exhaustive, as it'd take all day otherwise! I'm actually keen to get my hands on a set of the Duratracs, as they look pretty awesome, so thanks for your feedback. @@michaelwalker4961 mine have been great in the wet weather on dirt , Gravel , and even snow , unfortunately they have gone up a huge amount in price so I'm going to try something different and down size to a 265/70R17. Maybe you got a dud batch what size you running
Hello from New Mexico USA 87113, I have the Falken Wildpeaks on my 2022 Jeep Gladiator. Good road manners and somewhat quiet. They are very stable off road. I would buy them again.
Idk if theyre available down under, but I’m surprised the GY Duratracs and Yokohama G015s werent on the list. Had a stock set of the GYs and they wore pretty well for such a big-lugged tire.
Which tyre would you recommend for a LC 300 Sahara towing a 3.3 tonne van for the big lap of Oztraya? I'm thinking between BFG kO3 and Falken Wildpeak. I want to keep the standard wheels.
4:23 When he patted that tire, I noticed a tired on the bottom row behind him to his right/the viewer's left. I want to know what tire company took a look at their dogs ballsack and said, " Hrrmmm... Now THAT would make an AMAZING tread pattern for an all-terrain tire!!!"
I am in the oil fields in west Texas and SE New Mexico and I just bought a '15 Tacoma that has 17" FUEL wheels and LT265/70-17 K02's on it...these K02's are virtually new. Most of what we see out here is sand and gravel, occasionally WET sand and gravel, but I think the K02's are overkill for what I drive on and I HAD the Yoko Geolander G015's on another vehicle and I really liked them. I suppose what I am after is, since I dont load up the truck very often, I would like a LIGHTER wheel/tire package that will get me a bit better MPG on the long runs between the rig and home. I'm lucky to see '16.0' in MPG now..... Thoughts?
You want to get as light of a rim and tire package as you can get to increase mpg, also keeping stock tire size or regearing to keep your effective gear ratio as stock as possible if you go with larger tires. Some people also say the tacomas do better mpg wise with an aftermarket toon but I haven’t tested that on my ‘17 taco
@@zamnex2153 yeah.....looking for some stock wheels and i have some other ideas as well. it gets better MPG with some fuel and not others...i guess its the alcohol content. My last vehicle would get 30mpg with NON alcohol 93....and as low as 22-23mpg with other gas with alcohol. Maybe I gotta start taking my baby bottle with me, again....
Had nittos terra grapplers. Lifted tundra platinum they sucked. Went to Toyo open country AT 1-2 and 3 on another tundra had for 8 years. I was Toyo guy , joe it’s nearly impossible to get Toyo’s. Got the falken wildpeak ATs last week, we shall see. Oh I love in Canada it’s mid winter, tires very much put to the test
I've run the KO2s a few times a set probably last me about 12 months 30 to 50 000 a set. The thing that gets me with reviews is non of the tires look like they have been used except for abit of gravel. id keep buying the bfg as I give them a proper hiding and they take it but I'm interested in the wild peaks. Has anyone properly used they and got anything to say?
If you check our long term reviews, we run them for at least 10,000km. Also, the reviews this video was based on come from all sorts of distances, all over Australia, so should be pretty legit 👍
Excellent review. The only missing part is to rate each tyre weight wise for similar sizes from heavier to lighter and road noise.
Cooper AT3 are quieter then maxis in your opinion?
I am with Maxxis last ten years . And highly recommend it to everyone. Best in quality and price.

Worst tires I’ve had in snow. Almost as bad as the ko2 in rain.
@@Bananahammock88 they're clearly not snow rated. That's your fault.
@@jerryjohnson9531 What did you wind up getting?

Have you driven them in the snow and ice?
Love your geese!
Ko2s are awesome tires. High speed on gravel, good grip on winding roads, no punctures fully inflated on sharp rock, but they are sketchy in the wet.
and noisy as buggery!
I've had a good experience with the ko2 in the last months with everything including road noise.. except wet. Definitely not a fan of really wet or slushy roads.
You said they are awesome and then you say they’re sketchy when wet?😅
Completely agree but look awesome
Not even on the list. They can’t be that great.
Would you say the AT3 is better than the K02 in every aspect?
@@thesickening0169 I was going to go the Ridge Grappler, but heard they can be a bit slippery in the wet, The KO2 did not wear that well. The Toyo AT3 is very good in the wet, quiet, wears very well, so yeah the AT3 in my experience is better than the KO2 in everyway.
@@glenn281 Great, thanks very much for the info man, I appreciate it! Trying to pick a tire and all the options have me quite confused!

5:20 The Falken Wildpeak AT3W actually comes in Light Truck rating as well for some sizes 😁
Coopers are awesome tread wear above average on mud and really good on wet roads. wet grip on roads is my number one concern.

@@TyreReviewVideos unfortunately they don't. I had them on my Ford F150 not certain if their latest design but good tire put almost 50k miles on them.

Okay, great feedback mate! How did they compare in the wet, out of curiosity, and what sort of bus do you have them strapped on to?

This is a very nice format. Also unlike other "reviews"videos, you guys actually at least get your hands on those tires. :D. Very handy, thank you.

Great to hear! Definitely keen for the long term review 👍
Great review as always . I was drum rolling between BFG and Yoko Geo .. .. I like yoko and falken no 3 more .than others .
Maxxis at811 is under $800 for all 4 tires on eBay. That’s $500 less than the rest
I like the Maxxis 811 at. They are a section mold instead of a clam mold! Better balanced.
honestly the best i try in 20 years and i still always choose, are general grabber, last AT3 overmatch the ko2 in al situation.
That's interesting! I'll see if that correlates with my experience, as I'm testing out a set of AT3s now 🤘

I really enjoyed your presentation. I drive a 2017 VOLVO XC60 with AWD. my Volvo has 255/45/20 summer tires. I recently ordered Faulkner Wildtrack a/t 245/50/20 and wondered if they’ll fit ok despite how grippy the tread looks vs the summer tires on the Volvo now
That looks like a pretty close size, so should be all good! Should look sick, keep me updated with how you go!
Great review, I am getting a set of goodyear wrangler duramax fitted to my truck next week. I am interested to see how thy preform in Scotland.
Let us know how they go. Bonnie Scotland is awesome, particularly if you have a vehicle to tour it in!
Love my cooper discoverer at3’s but I’m
Thinking of getting the wildpeak at3w’s next go around, also considering the hankook at2 xtreme
Excellent review process, data and delivery. Thanks, mate.
Thanks! We're getting there, but always interesting things to add 👍
Just purchased the kenda klever at2 and they are awesome tires.
Would have been interesting what price tag went with each tyre.
Falken has priced them selves out of the cheap side now
Here in Alaska the new Nokian Outpost AT is popping up everywhere.
I was considering them before I actually bought Geolander G003 MT
Which I have been shocked how Awesome they are, without Airing down.
If you're keen, make sure you leave a review for them on www.tyrereview.com.au, as then it'll be in the database to inform others forever more, plus you'll go in the running to win a fuel card 🤘
I'm not, Goodyear doesn't make a very good tire for AT or MT
Thanks Jared great video, I'm running duelars 697's have been happy with them but, looking to run with Wild Peaks next
I have some and maybe the navara is too light or the psi I have in them is too high. But they're like ice skates in the wet.
@@michaelwalker4961 what are you running Wild Peaks? .... no good in the wet?
@@maccas44 the duelers, that's why I'm a bit baffled. So many good comments about them, made me think I'm doing something wrong
@@michaelwalker4961 mine have been great in the wet weather on dirt , Gravel , and even snow , unfortunately they have gone up a huge amount in price so I'm going to try something different and down size to a 265/70R17.
Maybe you got a dud batch what size you running
@@maccas44 yep I've narrowed mine to ridge grapplers,maxxis at811 and geolander x-at go16 in a 265/75 r16
Nitto what an underrated tyre fantastic product
What a great review, I was surprised to see that the famous Bridgestone Dueler AT 697 was not on the list.
That is simply because Bridgestone refuse to be part of these reviews.
I've bought 5 sets of KO2's... are any of those other types better than a KO2? I have no idea, I'm happy with what I got.
Thank you a well informed review.
Great video keep it up
Which tyre would you recommend for a LC 300 Sahara towing a 3.3 tonne van for the big lap of Oztraya? I'm thinking between BFG kO3 and Falken Wildpeak. I want to keep the standard wheels.
4:23 When he patted that tire, I noticed a tired on the bottom row behind him to his right/the viewer's left. I want to know what tire company took a look at their dogs ballsack and said, " Hrrmmm... Now THAT would make an AMAZING tread pattern for an all-terrain tire!!!"
Can't wait to see what the Yokohama R/T will look like
The one that doesn’t exist?
I was thinking that the MT Baja Boss A/T would have been in the top 10? Any thoughts on theee? Or on any load range f
A/T tires?
Falken AT3W for the win IMO!
Nice! They've done well for you?
Nitto at3 seems to be a very good tire just purchased a set for my ram 2500. Ca USA
Wow, a video made soley from the reviews of anonymous internet people... great stuff
I have used Coopers A/Ts for the 20 years I have owned my 2003 Ford F-150 Supercab 4X4. I love them.
Try the Maxxis AT811 u can't go wrong. I've know farmers using them off road daily and getting great mileage from them.
If you check our long term reviews, we run them for at least 10,000km. Also, the reviews this video was based on come from all sorts of distances, all over Australia, so should be pretty legit 👍
