QUICK TIP! If you put a cup of water in the microwave for a minute on high and then dip an 1" of that tubing into the water for about 30 seconds before pressing it over the nipple, it will slide on much easier since you softened the tube and you will have a much better seal when clamped. After you remove the end of the tube from the hot water, you will have approx. 10-15 seconds of work time. This works for ALL plastic and pvc rubber type transparent (color) hoses such as off road vehicle gas lines. This will not affect REAL black rubber hoses although you can just lay real rubber hoses in the sun prior to using to make them more flexible..
Is there a formal that can be used to assess how much nutrient delivery occurs at each setting based on water pressure and time of run on the irrigation controller?

Good question +Outa ThisWorld. There isn't an easy answer because it depends on how often you are watering and how much. (They estimate replacement every 4-6 weeks if watering 1,000 sq feet every other day.) Recommended rates should be available on the fertilizer label. Begin by checking the levels weekly to see how much has been depleted and adjust from there.

I am trying to set up an automated Vertical growing system for vegetables. I have installed 22 towers with four levels for each hydrostaker tower with an in line EZ flo (1.5 gallons). If I filled the tank with hydroponic nutrients, how do I know when the nutrients need replacing on the first, lowest EZ flow setting?
can you put bifenthrin in this to do a blanket insecticide treatment on my yard this would help with spider & cinch bug control
The EZ-Flow fertigation system delivers fertilizer in micro doses with each irrigation cycle. This might not be enough output of the pesticide to be effective in the control of insects. The pesticide manufacturer might be able to give you a more specific answer. Thanks for the question!
Wrong my 1 1/4" ball valve mounts above my tank by about 2'... Please correct me if I am wrong.
Hello Jim, when this video was produced, the manufacturer included that statement in their instructions. I checked the current instructions on the EZ-Flo website and no longer see that requirement. Thanks for watching and for the comment!

I'm in a Zone 6, how do I winterize the tank, do I remove it every fall?
Thanks for the question Ralph! You are correct, you will need to disconnect the tank and remove it before winterizing your irrigation system. Here's a link to more information from EZ-Flow:

I remove mine...then make an insulated jumper "rainbow looking piece of tubing with insulation around it" and go from blue nipple to green nipple (going over the ball valve lever).

Steven Stuart Virtually any type of water-soluble, non-hazardous fertilizer or liquid
organic product can be used in an EZ-FLO unit, but we'd recommend checking with Advanced Nutrients to see if they believe it would be compatible with an EZ-FLO unit. We can't offer any specific advice for growing giant pumpkins, but hope you find the prize-winning strategy. Let us know how it goes!
