Cheers for this vid mate! Picked an old black and decker pl40 up for free the other day, this is the only vid showing how to refurbish these old school models up and I've got mine working a treat now 👍

Yes. I've watched so many restoration videos. And I think this is the first time I've seen someone polish plastic. It turned out great.

What rpm is this saw? And is it less noisy than a modern equivalent?
    Thanks

Thank you for the video. I have a black and decker pl40 that needs new bearing. Mind sharing the source of the bearing you use?

    Hello Inside Workshop
First of all I wanted to point out that you did an amazing job on this device I have the same Black & Decker device in excellent condition I bought it new 30 years ago and barely used it, I want to use it but I do not have the Wood Saw Blade and saw in the video you installed the Wood Saw ZHWEI blade and two backing flange parts with disc and screw.
There is a possibility that you can tell me where you bought the ZHWEI Wood Saw Blade and the two parts of the backing flange.
I thank you for the help
    Regards
    Meir

My friend I did not just write to you that I have exactly the machine Black & Decker DN 227 what fits this device Blade Diameter: 140 - 135 mm max There is no room to put in this machine more than these dimensions so I asked you about the Blade you fitted to this machine ZHWEI Company.
Well not so much you helped me anyway thanks for answering.
Good luck continuing to do so on TH-cam
