    The fact that he says when the Palestinians resisted I would say they resisted with hardly any arms. At that point the British left their weapons to the Jews, the soviets also armed the Jews so they were much more heavily armoured than the Palestinians.

    I would have thought he would have explained point by point whether Israel is or is not commiting genocide. Stating that war is brutal or that is up to some court to decide is not very instructive. I listened to another interview with Dr Omer Bartov a couple months ago and he seemed to skirt the issue.

      @machsimillian14 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Yeah he's not willing to address the issue. The times when he has spoken on it he's stated that he doesn't believe that it is yet genocide, but it was proximal. But this was months ago

      @@machsimillian14 agree. I read through the criteria for genocide and have a big question mark on why he is hung up on the intent issue. As long as you know you're destroying a population and don't stop doing that, isn't that intent?

    • @machsimillian14

      @timmoore3188 it's even more overt. The Israeli government has made numerous statements of intent to cause the extermination of a people in part or in whole. The mere cutting off of aid and all items and services necessary for the sustainment of life is de facto intending to end in part or in whole the Palestinian people. But they've said far worse. There's no question at this point that what the Israeli government, both in declaration and in deed, is intending to end the Palestinian question.

    thank you for your good work. however outside the courtroom i think it unnecessary to split hairs over what is and what is not genocide. it is the premeditated killing of a group of people that for one reason or another the perpetrators feel it is their rightful duty to kill. it occurs without war like the african massacres in biafra and uganda or more conveniently under the cover of war like in WWI turkey and WWII germany and more recently in the balkans. and it happens because it is allowed to happen. when the hitler government allowed the german people to murder jews without consequence it happened all over the place. they got off on it. and it had nothing to do with the war. it had to do with the grievances of people who felt left behind and needed someone to blame. israels’ war is with the government of gaza and the people that support it and their terrorist attack. another nakba. so be it.

    Why is it a crime to discuss the events of Ww2? Is there any logical reason to jail or harass people who study the historical events? Btw the term “Holocaust” was used before 1940s.

    Traumatising other people because of being traumatised isnt acceptable, unfortunately america isnt being a good friend and saying no you cant kill palestinians because europeans killed you. That isnt ok
