Restored, Old School Hot Rod Pickup.
Beige w/Brown & White interior, Small Block, 4-spd. manual transmission.
With the Resto-Mod craze in full swing, it seems like just about every restored hot rod; car and truck for that matter has undergone that transformation. However, on occasion, we run across an example of an “Old School” restoration. And we have to admit, it’s a welcome sight! Not every hot rod has to be a complete, over-the-top technological marvel! Sometimes, less is more. And in the case of this beautiful ’62 Chevy C10 Step-side short bed pick up, that goal was accomplished with taste and flare! The very tasteful and understated restoration features a slightly messaged 350ci small-block, putting out 300hp, mated up to a 4-spd. manual transmission, Custom touches are reserved for the pick-up bed, which features a beautiful teakwood inlay. The interior is mostly stock and original down to the gauges and am radio, with the exception of the bench seat, which is done up in White/Tan leather. The Beige exterior is appropriate “period correct” with gleaming chrome bumpers, front, and rear. And it rolls on steel wheels with Bowtie hub caps wrapped in wide Whitewall radial tires. It turns over with a pump or two of the gas pedal and idles with just a hint of “lope”. The 4-spd. engages easily and goes through the gears smoothly. It’s a fun truck to drive. And isn’t that what it’s really all about?
