honetly speaking, Moscow Olympics, is one of the best Olympics in which I've seen lots of legendary gymnasts like Comaneci, Kim, Shaposhnikova, Davydova, Eberle, Kraker and my favorite Gnauck. A tough competition for the best of the best.
Soviet choreography never matched until they made so much acrobatics that the Russians could not choreograph a decent storyline which used to be amazing how much the Soviets, many of the choreographers Russians could put into a floor exercise, unmatched grace and artistry with a storyline!
I wonder who would have taken the golds if Elana Mukhina, would have not have broken her leg, let alone her neck, two weeks before. I'm sure Davydova was kind of happy she didn't make it. Unfortunately, we will never know. RIP Elena Mukhina - RIP
I'm sure she wasn't "kind of happy", they were very good friends and was one of the only ones that continued to visit her and support her for the rest of her life
Mientras tanto la maldita URSS dejaba sin ayuda médica y económica a una de sus mejores atletas( Elena Muhina) ella quedo paraítica al intentar hacer el salto Thomas -muy complicadoen la gimnasia artística- dado lo cual la borraron literalmente de la vida pública, escondiendo el fatal accidente que ellos le provocaron con sus presiones gubernamentales por obtener el oro olímpico. Ella era mejor que la Comaneci y lo hubiera demostrado, sin embargo el destino no lo quiso así. Desde pequeña Elena Muhina tuvo mala suerte, sus padres fallecieron en un incendio y se quedó a cargo e su abuela....la cual después de su accidente se entregó a ella en cuerpo y alma para atenderla, hasta que murió y ya nadie pudo ver por ella....falleció a los 46 años esruvo 26 sin poderse mover...una historia muy estremecedora!!!

SOVIET GYMNASTS are the best. Davydova got ten and won Commaneci.

@Star Tetrahedron Romania had a much smaller country than the Soviet Union which had a vast amount of gymnasts to choose with their many republics.
@@terrycole5334 for Women's Artistic Gymnastics only where US women are great but for Rhythmic Gymnastics, Russia reigned supreme.

CKLG it is ironic that the very element that paralyzed Muchina, was executed by Davydova frame(11:15). The Thomas Salto.
