The Soviets were absolutely amazing and so well-rounded as a team. So riveting! Considering the Olympics were in Moscow, I don't think they were generously scored as some people claim. In fact, the judging seemed rather stringent (especially for Davydova and Naimushina in compulsories and Shaposhnikova in optionals). If people want to see a clear case of questionable judging for the home team they should see the inflated scores the Americans received in Los Angeles and Atlanta.
because Nadia makes seeing the complicated simply, and Nadia did not make mistakes when planting her feet on the ground, and did not hesitate in her movements; for example, in 1976, on the balance beam she never unbalanced even a little bit, instead the Russians did have slight imbalances, that is, less is more
Quite simply execution. You were not rewarded for difficulty under the Perfect 10 system unless you nailed it. Today if you land a H skill with errors you can still get points because of the difficulty.
Some really unusual UB work here! How Nellie managed to land standing on the lower bar is beyond me! I would love to see Mukhina in another universe at the '80 Olympics 😘
Woooow! I've always loved URSS gymnastics team! But in these olympics I miss Elena Mukhina 😢😢😢my idol

ES VERDAD
MUY INFLADOS...YO DIRIA EXAGERADOS...PERO ES BIEN SABIDO.QUE EN GIMNASIA.LAS RISAS SON LAS #01.
Whoa. Every single time I am mesmerized by Natalia's one-armed handstand.
I agree, in fact Nellie Kim was underscored insanely on vault. She had far better form and a better landing than many who scored higher than her.
Un equipo de Oro!
Legends. :)
I don't understand. If Nadia got a 10 several times, why didn't these girls? They moves are more complex, complicating and daring that Nadia's.

I wish Filatova had been in AA finals instead of Davydova or Kim. I think she was better than either of them.
El invencible equipo soviético
naimushina was pretty
Naimushina was far better on beam than Davydova.
Filatova beam exercise (9.70) was overscored.
Команечи , Гнаук, Ким , Шапошникова , Давыдова , Филатова
Who is the blonde lady who takes the spring board? Larissa Latynina?

What the hell is that background noise
It's not background noise it is probably a vhs/betamax tape that was taped over a few times and the sound remained from previous recordings.
