wow... its great pleasure to see this stuff on BBC... thanks to BBC for spending some time exploring our beautiful land & showing it worldwide... Hey u all, if u get a chance to visit India, plz do not miss it... Though we have issues like population, traffic, pollution, thr r lots of beautiful places to explore... WELCOME to INDIA...
Video doesnt say that Nanda devi is in Bhyundar valley but says that it shelters it. Moreover, Valley of flowers is in Bhundyar valley and it is within nandadevi biosphere reserve. you are right about the peak that is seen on the other end of valley of flowers. it is indeed ratvan peak.
Yes It's....but Valley of followers is open only in September and October so you can not go in August..but you can go from Joshimath to several trekking areas, and these all are beautiful...surrounding by valley of followers
Ram Tyagi thanx for this valuable information. I have been to Badrinath in June 2013 but couldn't go this place as rain started. And just after we returned to Rishikesh Uttarakhand was struck by devastating flood.
why do the western media compare the real beauty of nature to a fictional garden of eden ,as if they had literally seen it, I wish for people to see things as it is and not compare it. everything has its own beauty and flavor enjoy it while you are there.
+Anu Mehta i go there more than 17 times , i find many ,,,, but it is outreach of outsider only pahadi people know there nature better and also global citizen , rest all are grazing hen
WITH ALL DUE RESPECT TO YOUR OPINION, I HAVE A FEELING THAT YOU APPRECIATE MANICURED-LAWN LIKE BEAUTY OF EUROPE AND THE WILD UNTOUCHED BEAUTY OF HIMALAYAN WILDERNESS HAS PASSED YOU BY.
I remember watching this documentary when I was in class 4 and it left a lasting impression in my mind. Can someone please tell be how I can watch the full Ganges documentary
there is a very serious misconception that european beauty is manicured and hence artificail. I do not understand what has made most of the indians feel that. I have seen indians in latturbrunen valley saying that swiss alps is artificial... as if human being created whole valley by dredgers... wildness doesnt always mean beauty... and there is hardly any beauty left in india that has not been touched... infact most beauty has been over exploited.. more than its potential.
you all talking about beauty and tears after visiting this place maan i just got this as an activity to write about and i am just copy pasting the sub titles
Nanda Devi is not in Bhyundar valley the peak shown here in this video is Ratvan Peak........please correct it BBC..........!!! As is your name there should be not such type of mistakes......please....!!!
This place would make a great tourist spot. I see a megacomplex of luxury & super-luxury hotels, stunning infinity pools, a giant shopping mall. None of your tat, just the best, Neiman Marcus type of thing. Maybe some kind of futuristic water park for jetskis, parascending. There'd have to be substantial road access, helicopter pads, a small airport. A theme park would celebrate how the valley used to look. Actors would portray the frankly primitive way of life of the former valley residents.
well, few places in india are beautiful . even such beautiful places by and large are no match to european landscape in general, let alone alps. I am telling you with my own experience. so please appreciate India for what it is worth but please refrain from comparing it with other places. I haven't even touched on how nightmarish experience could be to reach such places...
I remember when I entered the valley there were tears in my eyes, such is her beauty.
Tell me the best month to enjoy her beauty, note, i m afraid of leeches
@@priyankadeyray243welcome to india🙏🏻
speechless !!! India is more beautiful than any other place in the world. How this place is not on everyone's wish-list is beyond me

It is better to be out of the wish list of others for it's own good.
Self pride personality disorder doesn't deserve this velly.
Who could not believe that this is a blessed place.

India is so remote in some parts where I've lived. That's worth protecting!🇨🇦❤️
That small child is one of the most beautiful little people I've seen. 🇨🇦❤️
They are indians. This is in inida Uttarakhand.

Awesome presentation of the wonderland. Great work..
yes. you can easily buy it. its a series by BBC called 'ganges' which has 3 parts in the same Blu ray disc.
The valley of flowers is very beautiful
wow it would be wonderful if everyday life in America was that beautiful and simplistic
dear BBC Studios can you please remake this video in 4K ?? A humble request from me....
U missed to highlight the most unique flower i. e. Brahma Kamal..
Laxmi Bhatt its not found in valley of flowers, as it grows only above 13000 feet or above. So its found on the way to Shree Hemkunt Sahib ji
In himachal on yatra to 3 kailash you can find brahmakamal
+Anu Mehta i go there more than 17 times , i find many ,,,, but it is outreach of outsider only pahadi people know there nature better and also global citizen , rest all are grazing hen

@geffel Hmm I don't know, we humans tend to destroy nature, I think this valley should be left alone.
