Hell yeah, congradulations on getting the R18 back up and running.
Thanks! Glad it’s working and doing just fine. Although I am a scared to do Wot in the winter since I don’t want to deal with engine problems in the cold.
Bro hats off!! I own a r18 FD civic which is 2008 model... has close to 100000 KM on it. 6th owner tho, got it as a gift from my old man. It has started drinking oil from the past oil change. After seeing this video.. i hope to start working on my r18 too!! I am gonna go forged piston NA. I hope you keep posting and thanks for sharing your success!
✅🙏
Hey man good job getting this project done. Considering you have not much automotive experience this is a great accomplishment. I hope to see some more boost action from you in the future!
Thank you and hope to deliver 😀
Incredibly inspirational! Love it keep up the good work love the content!
Thank you! Appreciate you watching the journey.
Yes his back
Thanks!!!
Great video, nice review!💯🔥
cool glad everything worked out.
Amazing I'm new to the channel and love it
Thank you!
Good job man. Seems like everyone's boosted R18 blows
Yes it seems that way. Mine lasted 8k miles.
Talent!
🙏✅
Cool man can you tell me where you got that manual on how to rebuild ?
this video was SUPER inspiring 🙌🏼🫶🏼 to watch
Thanks for watching and I’m glad it was impactful.
I love civic 👍
How much did all that cost if you don’t mind?
Return of the king🫡
Salute😀
I hope you learned the basic honda thing here.......k swap is cheaper and better. r18s can not handle boost just thrown into them. its not like the old days when we could just put performance parts on and go. they have to be tuned now almost everytime.
Next project you should put a wide body kit on the civic
😎
Love this channel
Thanks boss😍
@@BulliKid you're smart to sell that Turbo kit bro, it's just gonna f your engine up again. the r18 engine was never meant to be turbo'd. if you find a cheap k24 or k20 you should swap it, that would be game changing
@@rxscience9214 not into swaps. I like oem plus styles and comforts.
Hey bro , just wanna ask if you already have a oil pressure sensors? What sandwich are you using?
Just the oem sensor and using a regular T to the factory oil pressure sensor
Thanks , where did you buy the T?
@@shemcristobal1614 ebay
Good video
Thanks!!
How’d you fix it? I got the same ticking, I did my valve timing and it got quiet but continues
My issue was bent rod. I’m pretty sure you don’t have a bent rod.
A to wtryskiwacz się zablokował że korbowód wygiety?
Niemysle. Musialo być za dużo ciśnienia od turba
Omg l have been waiting man l really enjoyed your video bro. What type of headlights are those?
Thanks, and I am on oem headlights?
Can you please help me. I recently did the valve adjustment on my car. The first two months was everything fine but in the third month the engine started ticking slightly and got less responsive. Is there anything i could do.
Change the oil and make sure at the correct level. If noise persists I would double check all your work. Maybe came loose.
@@BulliKid Thank you very much! I will try that out.
What needs to come off around the engine in order to remove the pistons? Is there a guide of what to remove?
Best to get a online manual for a detailed guide how to remove everything. I have a manual in the links in description.
@@BulliKidI think the link is bad, it shows just a blank screen
Hello, a Brazilian fan here,
I've been following it for some time, I have a manual lsx, and I'm interested in boosting it, how much pressure do you suggest??, and if you also have other warnings.
thank you and congratulate you for your time doing this 🥰😁🙂
Hey. Im not sure what a lsx is. However if this is a factory engine I would suggest stay in the 7-8 psi range.
@@BulliKid sorry it's a civic 2008 model LXS, auto correct change things at first comment rsrs
mine comes from the factory with the R18A6 engine, a flex model that can use ethanol or gasoline
the tuners around here, say something 0.7 bar, with the original internal, so as not to blow the engine kkkkkkk 😅😭
like around here, it's still an "expensive" car, you can't see almost anything of preparation in it
@@erickfoloni I would not turbo the r18 or you're going to blow it like he did, it's not meant to be turbo'd its an economy engine for normal use. See if you can find a K24 engine from a Honda CRV or an Accord Sport for cheap (in US they go for $2,000 USD) and swap it.
Great job except you missed the main bearings which in some cases are more crucial then the rod bearings because the main bearings can make the crank pivot or moisture buildup overtime causing rust and them spinning out worst case scenario. i wish that was possible with the block still in the car. I think ill stay with the B series on rebuilds lol. amazing video nonetheless
Thanks boss. Yah I did a quick visual and I wouldn’t really know how to test the main bearings. Did the best I could with the knowledge I had. It did the job! Learning everyday.
i always wonder how do they blow and how can I avoid it?
Will boost you have to make sure you take all the precautionary steps.
How long did the rebuild take?
It took me about one month, working on the car after my job
Is it staying stock now or are you going to add the turbo again?
Chilling stock now and seeing if any issues come up.
@@BulliKid Great to hear it’s running again man! Hopefully no issues. I have an R18 as well not sure if I should do some mods, what would you recommend?
If you wana do bolt ons it’s not worth it that much to gain power. Considering hondata will cost you 400-600 it’s expensive just for a few bolt ons. However. We all start somewhere and grow from there. I started doing n,a and eventually led me here. 🫣
what headlights do you have
Oem
Those are the day time lights, looks like HID.
@@bpc4209 headlight is oem. Bulbs are boslla color changing leds. Link in description
What blew?
What needed to be fixed?
How do I avoid it?
Bent a rod. Upgrade rods and pistons to stronger ones.
Homie left him and wrecked him at the light. Pontiac is facked😂😂😂
this is totally cleveland right?
Hey I got some maxpeeding coil overs . My civic handles so good now . (Your discount code did not work )
GLad to hear that. Hmmm I wonder why. I’ll look into it. Thanks for letting me know! I switched my coil setting to soft and I enjoy the ride now on the rough city streets.
wish i had to balls to take mine apart like this XD nice job man this is sick
Thanks!!! It was my biggest job since it was my daily
@@BulliKid mine a daily to thats FBO but not tuned so it runs a bit rich, i want to get another one then build my main, love the videos man keep up the good work.
@@QFgSal thanks brother! A dedicated project car makes all the difference
Man with all the skills u have just manual swap it. While ur at it. I always say manual or nothin. U would enjoy the car more. Imo. And to not blow it. Keep the boost like under 8lbs? Thanks man
U need an oil pressure gauge bro
I need alot of gauges. Oil pressure. Temp. Wideband. Ect ect.
why shaking the camera too much
Alot of the footage is fast forwarded to make this video
