  • Fenix is the Bolliger & Mabillard wing coaster at Toverland. This ride anchored the Avalon expansion, as this coaster's blue track winds around the area. This is one of the shortest wing coasters, but it packs a punch with some forceful maneuvers and even an animatronic!

    Toverland just makes me root for them somehow, more than any other park in the area. They consistently invest in beautiful new additions and transformations of existing rides, and I hope they can continue to do so for years to come. Great video!

      Idk. Wing coasters are kind of a generation behind with the addition of 4D roller coasters. Especially having to take into the fact of how cheap roller coasters actually are in the long run, the extra sigh of inserting an additional Benjamin electronic motors will only increase the coasters value and cause more customers and more returning ones

    Fenix was amazing. It's relatively short, but every meter is well designed and every element works well. The airtime on that hill and the sheer intensity of that Helix really surprised me. It's just extremely rerideable and arguably just as fun to look at as it is to ride. I wish the park the best for its future, it truly deserves it.

    The addition of the new Gerstlauer Sky fly attraction, built in the centre of the low banking circle of Fenix, makes this extra thrilling
    Rides after sunset are even more worthwhile

    To operate a park even and FEC is NOT for the faint of heart. It takes guts and a BOLD vision to make it work. I think in the long run Toverland will make that back and then some. Look @ Knott's and how its attractions + concept of selling fried chicken and pies evolved. B&M again PROVES that it can put a quality product in a small space.Great review of a coaster I surely have on my "bucket list". HapPy last day of summer!

    Fenix is the perfect addition to Toverland. The Benelux Area + Western Germany are quite competitive with Theme parks, and it's tough to pick a marketable and unique coaster that stands out among those. I don't think there was a better alternative when you have to compete with the Efteling, Walibi Holland and Belgium, Bobbejaanland, Moviepark Germany, and Phantasialand.
    That one-two punch of coasters is amazing! I wonder what the next coaster Toverland will is gonna be!

      You can just see how competitive they got after Taron, with both Slagharen and Movie Park opening their multi launch coaster a year later and Bobbejaanland opening theirs in 2019.

    A really good review once again. I have Fenix at no. 2 because of its intensity (although I didn't grey out myself), inversions and theming/setting. But I could see why one would prefer a ride like Goliath or Troy.
    The thing I disagree with is the restraints, I think the 'vests' are too hard, making them very restrictive. I prefer Vekoma's vest restraints.

    • @arturobianco848
      @arturobianco848 ปีที่แล้ว

      They do get a bit painfull when you have to wait 20 minute before they can get you out wile waiting on a ladder. That i can tell you from experience but they are ok for me on a normale run. But i agree with you the ones from Vekoma are more comfy.

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't like the gen 1 B&M vests that had no give. Those ones would dig into your collarbone. The new ones are ok to me.

    I personally find Fēnix to be my favorite wing coaster. With the exception of Thunderbird, all the other wings I've ridden sort of feel the same. I think I just prefer Fēnix's blitz of energy over the graceful acrobatics of the other wings.

  • @arturobianco848

    I really like it haven't done a lot of winged coasters but for me flug der Deamonen is a more rounded coaster while Fhenix is smoother and has more intensity. I rated flug just one place higher in my favorites list but i did that one under perfect conditions.

    I've only ridden Flug der Daemonen as the other wing coaster, and I like that one a little better. Fénix has a great first and second act but no third act. It needed a finale of some sort, like the demon's knot on Flug or the keyholes on Raptor or X-Flight. Although that might have disrupted the pleasing symmetry that Fénix has from off ride. Nevertheless I think Fénix is the best thing Toverland could have added and I can't wait to see what this park does next. Look at all that land you see from Fénix' scenic turn, all waiting to be developed.

    • @CanobieCoaster

    I am very surprised you get airtime on a B&M Wing, I know ow of hangtime and some floaty feelings on inversions on wings but actual airtime from a hill surprises me, especially on a B&M with vest restraints. And this also looks to be the best wing in terms of positive Gs, this might be my new favorite. And whippy is a terms that is not used very often at all when talking about wings. I did not think it would be like this but it sounds so much different than Gatekeeper, X Flight, and Wllild Eagle which are the 3 iv ridden.

    Ive only ridden Flüg der Dämonen beside this one. And I had no clue this is actually longer than that coaster.
    This js my fav attraction that I have ever ridden. My only critique, and im surprised you didn’t mention this, is that they left part of thr station building un themed, revealing the green steel box that the station is in
    (I’ve only visited Dutch parks and Heide park when it comes to parks with large coaster tho)

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't look hard enough to see that part of the building off-ride.

    • @NathanHydra
      @NathanHydra ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CanobieCoaster you can actually on really see it On-ride. But if Fenix runs 2 trains you’ll almost always stack on the brake run, which leaves you to look at said green steel box.

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  ปีที่แล้ว
