- The Bataleon Evil Twin Plus Snowboard - Selected for the Whitelines 100 Snowboard Awards
You’ve heard of Dr. Jeykl and Mr Hyde, but what if there was another involved? The Bataleon Evil Twin + is a new character in the story, one that takes the personality of the classic but looks to up the construction to offer a more refined and dynamic ride.
Understandably, the ‘Plus’ next to the name might be quite off putting for modest riders who don’t categorise themselves as an absolute Charlie Big Potatoes, but fear not, the Evil Twin + isn’t only for pros. The board is lighter, faster and a bit more responsive, but it’ll still offer the same fun, forgiving, freestyle experience you’ll have got from the original.

Just got mine in Yesterday~~ Super Nice BOard, Great Flex, The 3bt Looks like it is going to be super fun to ride with. Pairing with some Blue Ultras which look Perfect for Freestyle All Mountain Buttery fun
Same pairing but with white Ultras! 👏
@@alanfefer4454 Niiice!! Can't wait to try them out. The Ultras are on their way;) I have loved the Stratas these last 2 seasons , so should be interesting with the more flexy Ultras~
just got mine in the mail last week, tested it on the grass and my homemade rail. It is the most premium, controlled solid board ive ever tried and i haven't even got on snow with it yet. CANT WAITTT
@@user-pn9xj5yp4o about 4* 2x4s and PVC Pipe. works amazingly!
@@colincharbonneau3634 hows the board in the snow?
@@Hdsvbeqac replied and exited and lost it fml. anyways. the board is literally the best board I have ever ridden in my life no joke. So many people say that you lose edge bite because of the 3BT but honestly its a lie. I de-tuned my board for park (made my edges dull purposely) and I can still lay out amazing carves whenever I want! The 3BT is so silky smooth when it comes to making turns, that its practically effortless and just amazing. the catch free feel with the edges being lifted is just the cherry on top. I have never felt so confident riding with this board because of how comfortable it makes me feel mentally knowing i will not catch an edge especially with my skill level. I have learned so many new things that i thought i would never learn with my old board. QUICK SUMMARY *Amazing board 100/10 buy it.*
@@colincharbonneau3634 sounds amazing, I’m an intermediate +, usually snowboard in the alps which are known for steeper slopes. I want something that can hold well when speeding, but also to progress my butters and ground tricks. I’m considering between this and the regular evil twin. Is the evil twin+ playful enough for that?
do you think this board can still be used for learning butters / ground tricks or is it too stiff for that.
I'm thinking of switching from my Yes Jackpot to the Bataleon Evil Twin+ as I really like to butter and do some flatground tricks and it's more playfull/forgiving but the only thing that keeps me from doing it is loosing edge hold on the Evil Twin+ compared to my Jackpot. You guys have any experience concerning edge hold on the Jackpot compared to the Evil Twin+? I really love to lay some nice carves so I'm afraid the Evil Twin+ will dissapoint me in that way ?
Deciding between the evil twin plus and whatever beyond medals. I’m an intermediate rider but just want a board that I can really progress in the park but also rip all around the mountain with. Really just looking for a super poppy board but not too over powering. What is your preference between the two?
what's your final choice? I'm also confusing those two
same here ! what have we settled with 3bt fam?
been waiting great review. Can not wait to get out ripping it. Restricted by the east coast lmao still got another month
Not long to go! Enjoy your new ET+
I'm thinking of getting the 23-24 model of the Evil Twin Plus - wondering if I should get 151cm or 154cm? I'm 172cm, 63kg and looking to ride all-mountain and park 60/40 with this. I'd be switching from a 15-16 Rome Cheaptrick 151cm (purely freestyle) and 19-20 Jones Mind Expander 154cm (powder/trees).
Definitely 151
I weigh about 180 lbs. at 5'11". I mostly ride all-mountain but like playing on the edges and with side hits and hitting small jumps. I want to incorporate more park stuff this season, do you think I should go for a 157 or 159? Thanks for the awesome video!
157 bro
Difference btw Evil+ and standard Goliath?
Sounds good. I am really interested in buyong this.
I am quite good at groomers and also switch riding. But zero experience in park.
I want to start learning park with a coach this season.
Would you recommend this board in such a case?
The shape and profile make it such a good option for freestyle progression, but you might want to look at the regular Evil Twin too. It'll be a little softer and perhaps easier to get going with freestyle progression. That said, if you already charge groomers and like riding switch, you might appreciate the extra speed, stability and slightly stiffer flex pattern for all other aspects of your riding! Hope that helps?
@@WhitelinesSnowboarding Although not suited, would the plus be a better option for all mountain as opposed to the regular evil twin?
IS THERE ANY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EVIL TWIN PLUS AND THE GOLIATH OTHER THAN THE DIRECTIONAL TWIN? Also how much stiffer is it from the normal evil twin?
Been trying to figure this out for the past couple weeks. You find anything?
Can’t decide between the evil twin plus and the Jones tweaker..
Same
If you could only own three snowboards ever and want to cover everything and have fun (for myself I’m not planning on hitting large features), which three boards would you recommend?
All mountain style board a Park Board and a powder board is just about everything you’ll need for day to day
@@MountainSnowboards Tahts the problem - im travelling a lot and it becomes infeesible to carry many boards. I want a one quiver board and I thought this would be it - my only concern is the 3BT and carving. I guess with any board you make sacrifices.
@@taransmith2546a good board bag could fit 3 boards and bindings (not attached) with all your gear in it
No stone grind?
I am 217 lbs, 6’ tall is the 159cm going to be big enough?
I'd say so. I'm the same height as you and I ride a 155.
Really fancy the evil twin plus, I would say I’m a high end intermediate, I love the park but don’t do the biggest jumps. Is this too much board for me? Would the evil twin be a better option ?
Cheers
Thanks for the question. It depends on how you look at it. If you're looking to progress your freestyel riding specifically, then the regular Evil Twin might just be that little bit more forgiving and softer flexing to help you step up your freestyle riding. The Evil Twin Plus isn't overly demanding or stiff and will still be really jib-friendlya and pressable, but it's better suited to riders who like to charge that extra 10% harder, or step up on the bigger features when the time calls. You could probably go for either - but if you're looking for a park board to progress on small and medium features with, the original Evil Twin might be better suited. Hope that helps?
@@WhitelinesSnowboarding that’s great thanks
What’s the difference from this and the regular evil twin
the plus version carries more premium technology. Examples including more carbon, lighter core, generic upgraded materials and their air ride suspension technology. The plus is for more advanced riders who know how to use a slightly stiffer board to their advantage and going to those larger features in the terrain park and harder terrain.
Would it be harder to butter with the plus vs the regular?
