I just got this TV from BestBuy, and it was advertised as having a Direct Lit screen, and I think that's true. I watched a credits screen like the one you showed in a completely dark room, and there was 0 blooming. It was so dark, I thought it was a QLED TV. I had an LG from 2020 before this, and the black was actually more like a super dark gray, it actually illuminated the room it was so bright.
Picked up this in 50 inch my first 4K/HDR tv! tv looks a lot better than my previous 1080p 43inch Vizio. Obviously better/more detail with the 4K resolution on native content. Even the lower res content looks better. Love the HDR fantastic quality for an entry level Samsung 4K tv. Only thing I will say is speakers aren't overly great I mean they're good enough. But I use Bluetooth stereo speakers. Way better audio

Tech Steve. First, thanks for the review! Secondly, I am concerned with so many models, technology etc... that if I upgrade to a "better or more expensive tv" is it really worth it? I say this because from what I have read, for instance, if I get a tv with dimming zones then the tv will most likely have black crush or dark scenes without detail. How is that an upgrade? Is it better to just stick with a budget tv, for the most part?? I want to get an 85 inch tv. Advise, and thanks again.
I see TCL Q6 at around the same price. That would be an awesome comparison. The TCL Q6 has quantum dot technology and the 85 inch model is 120hz. I am a Samsung consumer but the TCL sure spec-wise sure looks tempting especially at a current sale price of $899! I've never owned TCL products so I am hesitant... Any thoughts?
I bought one from walmart b/c my old QLED 7F died and going from a 55" to this new 65" is nice. Being on the entry level is still far better than top tier from a few years ago, so I'm quite impressed with it's features compared to the Q series from 2018... and it's less than half the cost. Samsung has good warranty, and my old remote works on this one too. Do recommend to always keep the brightness to a minimum for longevity but the image I get is fantastic and doesn't need the special power box like the old models, just a basic power cord which is also a big plus. Furthermore, this 65" weighs less than my old 55"... so wall mounting is fairly easy and safer than the old models.
Okay so I just got this tv from a work Christmas party. I currently have a LG CX 55” oled 4k should I keep the 55 in the living room or will the new one be a good replacement for sports and gaming
Hey Steve, what size did you buy and try out? I bought the 43 inch for a bedroom. I considered the 50 inch, because I could maybe use it in a larger room later. However, I was worried the 50 might be too big for a bedroom. What do you think? Thanks Steve. 👍

I bought this recently from Costco, 43". Good price and comes with extra warranty. I don't care for the remote. As you mentioned, no voice activation. Could I buy a Univeral remote with this feature?
