I was on their group page on fb when this launched. There were tons of unhappy people. If anyone is interested in this, I would do some research. I am absolutely astonished to see this showing up on TH-cam again.
Now add fpv, maybe atop a 3ft tall pyramid of poles for perspective and stability. Maybe just tape an fpv drone to the top of the mower (or atop a custom built 3ft tall observation deck). Or maybe set the drone to automatically follow the mower, and you can watch through the drone's fpv and use that perspective to drive the mower.
How long until someone (or you Greg) designs and prints some type of clip that holds the blade buttons down? I think the lighting, angle, and um slightly patchy grass all combined to make it look less effective at mowing than it probably is in reality. I can definitely see a number of uses for this, even if they are somewhat niche. Maybe as it develops further and later versions come out it will be more user friendly - and I mean hardware changes in addition to the obvious software changes that it needs.
Seems like a fun way to mow the lawn. I thought about strapping a reel mower to the back on an XMaxx or an SCX6. I think the latter might work better. 😂
I don't know i'm not completely sold on this idea. It's a cool concept but how practical is it? It's kind of like flying airplanes where Depth perception comes into play with line of sight. Probably take some time to develop skill with it. Good luck with it Greg.😊
This was not on my bingo card, but super interested to see it. Will have to wait till Project Farm approves it before buying though. No offense to sponsored channels, but you know how it is for consumers these days. The footage makes it look like that thing don't work at all. There is no discernable difference between where it just drove and the rest of the lawn. Your after shots don't seem connected to what I saw the thing doing. This feels like an ad, my friend, and not a review. Glad you got a robot mower out of the deal, though!
Wanting to start a small business with me and a mate in New Zealand with these. Would love to mow fields sitting next to a mate and/or hire them out for people who can't physically, but want to mentally. Would love to know how much interest there really is in to it and how much someone would pay to hire one for the day.
I'm thinking about investing in 2 4WD units to start a small business with me and a mate. Would there be much market or interest in hiring someone with a rc mower rather than a push/ride on? The 37° slope angle allows for use where ride on cant go, and push would be a pain. I live in New Zealand, where most large houses have sloped yards ranging from 1/2 - 1.5 acres squared, mud spots, surrounding trees with leave fall and grass length of roughly 50-200 mm if not more. Wondering how good of a job this would do in business and how it would attract clients vs push/ride on. Any help will be appreciated 👏
comes with remote lol, well flight controller and inav with gps. can float in pool and watch it cut grass, map the yard . push start and fill the floating cooler. priceless
I bought myself a used sit on tractor whit bag and a 48'' blades set this year for about 1500$. Im a fan of RC but this is just a big waste of time and money. the smart lawnmower IMO would be a better option, set it on and go play whit your real RC lol
I mean I built a 6x6 King Hauler as a KW T800 conversion and it grinds through the lawn easy enough, I'm starting to think of building a reel mower trailer
Not a waste for everyone. This is works for those that have to deal with sloped yards. I almost rolled my ride-on tractor on the hill at my last property, so I can see where people could want it.
@@rcdriver Sorry my man, but at that price tag... you can get a regular lanwmower whit traction for a fraction of the price or heck, get a gardener. The price is absurde for ¨having fun¨ while mowing your lawn. There are so many alternative for this thing. Like I said, if you want a gimmick lawnmower, I would try out a smart mower that does it by itself, there is more of a useful future in this IMO
If that mower was self driven it would be a better concept ……I think I’d rather sit on my rider than stand and get board … Now , if someone made a remote controlled snowblower I could clean my drive while inside my house would be awesome!

I heard the update fixed a lot. But in the end, for my lawn, it worked well.
We need to get this to the track asap!
Rc mower racing
PROLINE making bodies for this?
I’m going to tell them to get on that!
Coolest thing ever... Til I saw that price tag.. sheesh
It’s not cheap. But yeah, cool!
looks great for hill sides that drop off to say the road side. Better than using a push mower on a string!
Yeah, it was hard to tell, but my side yard has a serious incline. It went right up. I just have to remove a few rocks and it will be dialed.

This is a great video! this is the lazy mans perfect tool. i gotta save up for one of these. i need this like i need a rc snow plow.
What a very thorough review on this RC

12S and send it!!!
Holy crap i need one now
Get the grand-kids over and give them the remote.... they will love you and you'll never have to cut the grass again ;-)

It has its applications where it’s very beneficial. But it does have a learning curve.
That is not a cheap peice of tech 😮😅
There’s allibaba ones that have tracks try one of those out as they are affordable
That is awesome 👏
Two things...
That vacuum attachment really...sucks! 😉
Where are you going to put the driver figure?

I'm disabled and that's what got me into rc. This would help me save some work for my wife.kinda out of my price range though 😞
I’ve seen other videos that mention that. But yeah, the price tag is up there.
I'd bolt an electric weed-wacker onto a kid's power-wheel.

I should get this just I won’t have to deal with our neighbor 😂
Send it!!!! 😅
If it had more speed… 🤔😆
Hahaha! Yeah, we need to see it in a skatepark after a 20s system upgrade! 😄
@just.jose.youtube That video would go viral. 😂👍
If you used a cheap ride-on mower you could blow the leaves off the lawn too, if that mower had the blades off or on i couldnt tell.
Ride ons are always super fun when side-hilling a steep slope.
If I need to get the lawn mowed, I just ask the Wife if she wants to get lucky tonite?!🤔
Said No Husband Ever😆😅😂🤣
Its Maximum Overdrive déjà vu.
Ok, it works fine, but how fast is it, and how does it handle a ramp ? Lol
comes with remote lol, well flight controller and inav with gps. can float in pool and watch it cut grass, map the yard . push start and fill the floating cooler. priceless
been wanting to make one of thess for years... n i dont understand how people afford houses like these...
Can I fit a long travel suspension kit on it😂😂😂😂😂😂
Haha!!
Fantastic
Speed run?😆
🤘🏼🤘🏼
3.5mph baby! 😂

@@rcdriver Was this a sponsored video?
I had to laugh a rc lawnmower what's next I still liked your video 👌
Having fun with the channel showing different things. 😄
Needs a light bar😆
Good call!
Put some xmaxx tires on it
Heh, rock crawling with your mower
Kinda sucks you have to hold those buttons in to mow!
Next is pair of sheep :)
But the exhaust on those are less than ideal. 🤣
I have my electric mower that I pull with my Xmaxx, a lot cheaper and faster.
Sounds like a fun setup LOL
HIT the red button to stop! 🔴 Turn it to reset it! 😉
Yup, exactly like I said. 😀
Before even watching .. this seems like it could go wrong 😂
Price not worth pushing my old one and getting exercise
It looks a bit like a generator 😂
True
Take it to the skate park and do a flip
Speed run😂

Smh.....
That looks completely worthless
