Wady, I have an answer! you must be using a pedal with a logarithmic potentiometer, its initial path changes the impedance a lot, and you end up without a lot of control. you will probably have to adjust the zero point. another situation to try is to set the pitch knob to -6 when inserting the expression pedal.
