Hi Kevin, during Chinese New Year celebration ...starting fr New Year eve to next 2 days ...almost all CNY shops are closed for Chinese New Year Celebrations. Hence all the shops are closed.
anw as i know, the event usually held on the days before, cz it happens here, in Surabaya, the event/party held on the days before the Chinese New Year
Whoa, i already try to comment the detail of the important thing in this video but my brain can't remember everything haha. But, I need to remind you, i know it might strange and uncomfortable for you. But, if you strolling around especially in the busy place keep you backpack on your front. Also be careful with your camera. Not all places is safe and not all places is surrond with nice people. Then, you can also refuse beggar like in the last minutes. They wants your money so be careful, also the fire-eater. Not talking like my country is danger but sometimes (most of them i meet on the street) always forcing you to give them the money because you're too innocent. Especially when you're a foreigner. And for the bread, you got coconut bread i think because the seller is ran out of his mung beans (not green bean different type cause it's veggies, right?) but the lady ask the seller to give you the mung bean. The biscuit like sandwich it's called Kue Gabin. At the middle of it is tape singkong or fermented cassava. Ah, yeah also for the last snack like meatball yep it's a fishball and in fried version. Well, i really want to apologize as Indonesian behave if you experience something not uncomfortable behind the camera. Anyway, i have question in my mind. How do you actually manage when you travel and have trip like this but then the destination you want to visit are closed? Enjoy, Kevs, and keep your secure.
