Very helpful video. I like that you take the time to do the work in a way that the viewer can see exactly what needs to be done. I am looking forward to part 2 because it looks like it will be tough to get everything together and into the case again. Thank you very much! ( I have a ZW too and will watch your videos on that next).
Helpful video to a degree. I received a post 1957 KW where all the inner posts had detached and some wiring was broken loose from the solder. I wish you had shown the locations of these wires as the only schematic I could find shows only the older KWs.
Thank you.. very helpful
Thank you for your videos they were so very helpful
You are so welcome!

Did you figure it out? I'm getting ready to replace a cord on one if you still need some pictures
@@johnnycooke8372 yes I found a schematic for the KW. It’s working now.
The best
Hey Peter. Thanks for the great video. I inherited one and replaced the power wire already. Do you have a good source for the rectifier wheel?
I suggest you contact Jeff Kane at The Train Tender www.ttender.com
The rectifier disc is part # 1041-13
You can obtain a replacement rectifier disk from Jefg Kane at The Train Tender thank you as well as others.
At 17:54 you actually suggested to leave the power cord wires loose without soldering??? Nasty short circuit at best case, House fire at worst case.
