I could not find a solution to this problem anywhere, FINALLY, thank you. Went back to my direcory, reincerted the clip and POOOF the unlink option was available. THANK YOU

Hey, is there a way that I can change this location permanently? everytime I open the project I'm needing to tell premiere pro where the files are now located. Is there a way to set the new location as the permanent location?

Thanks for that! Very helpful! With one instance it finds the file but overlain is a File Import Failure that reads 'Error message : the Importer reported a generic error' Do you know what that means? cheers

When I Import images, they do not stay within the project and premier pro isn't able to find them unless I stick the sd card in the pc again to link them. Any thoughts? Most tutorials only discuss when the images are already on the PC.

I have a question- may be a dumb one but.... I'm just starting with premier pro, and i had uploaded a bunch of clips from an external hard drive, created a video, and finished it. Managed to export my final video, but I ejected my external drive, and PP did this; i managed to locate and upload all my footage in PP again, once I connected my hard drive. My question is- Is premier going to "offline" my photos every time i eject my hard drive, and am i going to have to locate and restore my footage? Thanks for any tips or advice!!

What if the missing elements are MOGRTs ? I have reinstalled them on premiere pro - after changing pc - but somehow there's still this missing media. And I've already remapped the videos and images used in the project.
