Fine if you want to live in a half million dollar home that looks like a shoebox on steroids in the middle of a cornfield. 0 walk ability, just get in your car and sit in traffic for half an hour to go 2 miles. And the nearest grocery stores are 5+ miles away. I suppose the growth is good for the tax base, but fortunately I live in an older neighborhood where I can walk everyplace if I want. I don’t dare bike though because I would likely be run over.
I get where you're coming from! The newer developments can feel a bit isolated, and walkability is definitely an important factor for many.
