Right.. It was held middle of pandemic season in Korea. They performed accordingly, In a situation where it was difficult for large crowd together!

Her other performances from this series of the jazz standard 'Misty' and her duet of 'Flashlight' with Lee Suhyun are angelic. She is simply the best female vocalist on the planet in my opinion.
Thank you for the reaction. This was such a beautiful rendition by So Hyang and her musician friends during the pandemic. She has such flexibility it seems she can sing any genre of music with ease, even when she is fighting her lung issues. And her fellow Korean musicians are top-notch! There is only one So Hyang, that is for certain.
Sohyang said in an interview late last year that when she did these "Begin Again Korea" performances she only had 30% of the voice she had prior to her seemingly countless bouts of pneumonia. She was worried that the fans would notice she could not light off the fireworks she is known for. But Sohyang even at less than her best is far better than the rest. I noticed nothing out of sorts.
What about you Nina? Did you notice any reduced abilities from Sohyang vocal wise? 🤔
Well I also noticed that Sohyang wasn't at her best form when she sang "I Will Always Love You" at Begin Again. She sounded a bit fatigued to my ears. (Nevertheless she pulled off a fantastic performance.) But she seemed fully recovered when she sang "Day Day" at the last episode of Begin Again. She even hit that Bb5 flawlessly. I was happy to see her perfectly healthy again. I don't think she could've hit that note so effortlessly if she had been still struggling with some lingering effects from pneumonia.

Sohyang participated in 5 Begin Concerts in the summer and one "BA open mike" concert in the winter with a number of very well known Korean singers and instrumentalists (who also sang). She performed duets and group

This was part of the Begin Again Korea TV show, a weekly series during COVID. So they had a week to work up various numbers involving all the cast. It was fun to watch the younger cast members become fans of Sohyang as weeks went on. Some of them are stars and surely make more in the business than Sohyang. But in every show,, the real star showed through. Several of Sohyang's performances are really nicethe although simple and low key compared to the big stage shows we're used to. Kinda like her singing in church only with great musicians, awesome songs, and a killer sound crew. The recording, mix, and engineering of these live, outsides shows is astounding. Misty, Please, Love Song, Day Day, and several more songs stand for me. I Will Always Love You is particularly cool since it seems the first time some of these kids had shared a stage with Sohyang. You can see their reaction.

Thanks for this lovely reaction. This performance is from Begin Again korean TV serie. There are amazing singers in this group: So Hyang, Lee Hi and of course wonderful Lee SuHyun. Lee Hi and So Hyang were in three episodes but Lee Suhyn was in every episode in this season four and also in season three, when the group was busking in Europe.
You really should listen for example Lee Hi's and Suhyun's duet their hit single "I'm Different" and many many other great covers and originals this group performs.

SuHyun is part of Korean duo AKMU or Akdong Musicians now.
It is a brother sister duo. Brother, Lee Chan Hyuk, composes all their songs and Suhyun is the main vocalist.
They have released four albums, all consist their own songs.
They took part of the song contest KPOPSTAR Season 2 when they were very young, win the whole thing mostly with their own songs. You should really watch the heartwarmingly fun first audition, where they start with cover song and then sing one of their own song called "Don't Cross Your legs"

I'd like to introduce you to another Korean Vocal Group of 4 men. They are called Forestella (Forest + Stellar). They made their debut in 2018. They are a crossover group. Just google them in TH-cam. Their harmonies are insane. Some of their covers are Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Je Suis Malade (a Lara Fabian cover), Champions (different from the Queen cover), Scarborough Fair, Sound of Silence and so many more. The 4 voices are singularly good voices but when they harmonize, it is pure magic. Please try to react to Forestella.

Misty from begin again korea is the best from that show.
Almost all from masked singer are straight up epic. Like without even reacting just listen to Home and Day Day. Then react to Breathe and Mona Lisa. Fate from I am singer is the other epic one. It's weird that so many others have reactions up to that show.

Hi Nina. Love your reactions. Please listen and consider reaction to Korean O.G. K-pop group 'Big Mama' and in particular their Killing Voice medley session th-cam.com/video/OsRogAzmsF8/w-d-xo.html. They originally debuted in 2003 and disbanded I believe around 2013, and came back together and release new songs recently. They are all music professors and universities. The distinctive voices and individual talents are evident, but their very complex harmonies and ability to blend (and the obvious and contagious joy they display in performing together) is striking, remarkable and rewarding to listen to. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Again, thanks for what you do.

She listened to another song (Where are you) that was blocked from I am singer. She couldn’t wait to hear her sing this song (If I Ain’t Got You), from Begin Again Korea. Not too hard to understand.
She sounds so nasal how can people think her voice is beautiful, I love her falsettos but that’s it? But her normal voice is not clear at all.
